I really can't express how much we enjoyed staying at Bosque del Cabo, so I'll just call the experience perfect. We stayed in the Casa Blanca, which was absolutely stunning. The huge deck overlooked the Pacific, the rooms were so beautiful, and it was incredibly clean and well-maintained. The food was fabulous and plentiful, and the wildlife was stunning. We...

There's tons to see in the grounds of the resort. Within 30 seconds of getting to our cabina, we had a Toucan and a Macaw in the tree outside! Also during our short stay we saw a variety of monkeys, birds, rodents and frogs. We had a 4 hour morning tour with Phil the guide which was an education in...

We just returned from one week at Bosque with our two kids, ages 5 and 7. We had been to the Nicoya Peninsula previously, but wanted something more gneuine and less crowded. Bosque sits at the end of a point that separates the Gulfo Dulce from the Pacific Ocean. The property is enormous and takes up the entire tip of...

Another adventure-filled visit: sloths, monkeys, poison dart frogs....and on and on. It is so heart-warming to see the same staff from the very first visit and they always remember us! The food is spectacular, the views breathtaking and the tours, fishing, hiking, surfing never disappoint! Love this place and these people!

This is the third time we've been there and we will be going back again for sure! If all they had was their perfect location and grounds at Cabo Matapalo, that would be enough to bring us back. If all they had was the abundant wildlife- on the land, in the trees, and in the air- that would be enough...

We are a family of 4, with 2 kids ages 6 and 4. Bosque del Cabo was truly a wonderful place that gave us the perfect balance between fun outdoor activities such as hiking on the trails (on which we got to enjoy the sight of monkeys, toucans, macaws, peccaries, agoutis, and so much more), take a zipline and rappelling...

Truly a special place. The grounds are incredible with great hiking trails. Everyone on the staff is warm, friendly, helpful and remembers your name. The food is divine and plentiful. The "cabinas" are well maintained and extremely comfortable. The Toucan cabina, where we stayed, has incredible views of the pacific, perfect for sunrise and sunset! The owners are always on...

Three of us stayed here and it was special. It is truly Eco-friendly and just warm and hospitable. Service is great. Walks on the trails are great...they're on the grounds with lots of wildlife and plant life. The owners were on-site and are wonderful people, very hospitable and service oriented. We were in Acacari rooms - great choice. This place...

We spent 8 nights at Bosque del Cabo last week and could not have been happier with our stay. For us it was the perfect balance of relaxation in luxury accommodations and education/discovery of a new place. We hiked every trail on the 800 acre grounds and were inspired by the level of stewardship we observed everywhere we went. The...

We recently stayed at Bosque del Cabo and really enjoyed ourselves. Rooms: We got the Manglilo Cabina and it was great. The view is fantastic and the extra beds in the loft perfect for the family. The room is spacious, extremely clean and the outdoor shower wonderful. The staff were wonderful in cleaning the room and making the beds everyday....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bosque del Cabo is a romantic getaway and a naturalist’s dream, come true. Crowning a point 500 feet above where the Golfo Dulce meets the Pacific Ocean, nestled in the unspoiled jungles of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula is a paradise found. Located in a unique and fortunate position at the very tip of the Osa Peninsula in the southern Pacific region of Costa Rica, this 750+ acre forest reserve features private, spacious bungalows and gorgeous houses perched atop the cliffs of Cabo Matapalo, each with beautiful ocean views, tropical breezes and the rainforest at your doorstep; or choose beautiful and rustic garden view accommodations surrounded by thriving rainforests. Hiking trails lead you through the forest to deserted beaches on both the Golfo Dulce and Pacific Ocean.
