We took a villa with private pool. The room is medium size, big bed, big TV with variety of channels local and international, mini fridge with zero alcohol beer, fancy coffee maker but it's not working however the housekeeping helpfully change it but even the second one is not working. Fortunately the room has a simple kettle so we use that instead. Double sink has a fancy box with face towel in it and simple toiletry, surprisingly there is no toothbrush and paste so I have to call reception to ask for it. The housekeeping brought it in. Bath tub is big with enough hot water to fill up. Big shower with plenty of water, perfect! I have to make another call to reception to ask for pool towel. Logically if the villa has a pool, I will assumed the pool towel will be provided. The housekeeping is back to deliver it. Pool lounge is convenient, an outside hut with chair and table is a good touch. The villa is close by from one to another so the noisy neighbours can be annoying. The big pool on the property is very nice, with beautiful garden and great view of mount Agung in Bali. The library is amazingly comfy, closed room with AC, chair, table and sofa and books to read or exchange. The bar serves varieties of cocktail or mocktail, happy hour is from 5-7pm daily. The restaurant serve local and international cuisine.
The location is quite far from the main attraction of Senggigi however mini mart is only a minute away. Walking by the beach in the afternoon or early morning is recommended. The area is not crowd and really peaceful. For a relaxing time, it's a perfect place to be!

We had a absolutely magnificent time in Sudamala Resort Lombok. This was really the time of our life and without a doubt the best hotel we ever had been to… For a birthday celebration of our son during a long time journey we intended to stay for 2 nights and resulted in 2 weeks. We had a 1 bedroom villa with a private pool. This is hidden totally so you really have absolute privacy. The pool is directly connected to the bathroom, so you can just use it as a ever filled clean bathtub. There is enough place to sit and lay in the sun. It is absolutely clean and very high standard.
We evaluated 12 Hotels nearby before and decided for this one. We did not regret for one second! Five stars are just to few 😊.
The complete resort is small compared to others nearby and has a very family like atmosphere. The stuff is mor than friendly and prudent all the time. There is a nice and warm pool beside the private one with direct view to the sea. The Restaurant is absolutely beautiful too and the food is completely homemade (even marmalade, butter, croissants to obviously local food). It is absolute delicious and worth every cent!
A terrace suitable for a sundowner cocktail is situated directly and even a bit overhanging the seashore. Wonderful.
Sengiggi itself is much better than Mataram (loud and polluted) or in our opinion even Kuta in the south. You have just enough cafes and restaurants to have diversity and are close to the mountains and Gili islands. For quite convalescence you will have the best place in the resort.

Dear Matthias R Thank you for your absolutely magnificent review We are very happy to hear that you and your family enjoy our small resorts. Small make the services to our guests more personal. We are very happy for your son’s birthday celebration that resulted 2 weeks stay with us. The private pool is suitable not only for a honeymoon couple, also it is fit for family; even there is a connecting door between the villas for bigger family. Yes our homemade croissant is the most guests’ favorite, and who doesn’t like to watch the sunset combined with happy hour in our sunset bar?! We are very happy to know that you enjoyed it all Thank you once again for staying with us, looking forward to see you next holiday for longer stay. Kind regards I Komang Sarjana General Manager

Had awesome stay at this lovely resort. Was really special. The staff were the best - always most helpful and always a smile at this small (35 room) and personal resort.
Chef Juan was great in talking with guests and he and his team prepared and served delicious dishes.

Location of this place is great - right on beach and close enough to Sengiggi ($2 taxi ride) if required with a few local warungs close by to dine locally if wished.

Wow, my partner and I are already planning our next stay at this hotel.

I don’t even know where to begin but everything was just 100% from start to finish.

Our room was HUGE with a TV, lots of channels and the bathroom on the ground floor was to die for. Spotlessly clean with two showers (semi outdoor and outdoor). There was heaps of storage space, and a safe, we could fully unpack and store our suitcase out of the way. We also had a private courtyard with a gate which came in handy when my parents came from another hotel for a visit.

The spa was one of the best I’ve been to. We had a complementary massage included with our accommodation package and I very quickly booked another treatment.

The restaurant has a great selection for Alacarte breakfast, not just your usual American, continental or Asian breakfasts. One day I had salmon and smashed avo on sourdough, one day I had the best nasi goreng I’ve ever had, and one day I had what can only be described as an “Aussie big breakfast”.

They also offer cooking classes and have a herb garden on site. We didn’t do the class but we could smell one and it got the thumbs up from us.

The pool is huge. Surrounded by pink frangipanni trees and has a breathtaking view of the ocean an Mt Agung. There is waterfront bar and dining with happy hour. And you can access the beach for a swim, a stroll and there are surf and boat hire places nearby.

We did a day trip to the Northern Gilis while we were there, and the hotel also offers a VERY reasonably priced day trip to the Southern Gilis, which I cannot wait to do next time we are there.

Accross the road and to the left a little you will find a local Warung called Molly’s Bar and Grill, where they do great bbq ribs. The food does take a bit of time but so worth it once it comes out.

We also ate at the waterfront bar (we had the chilli) and it was amazing, fresh and unique. The cocktails were great and all had a unique twist to them.

Three staff members in particular were so lovely and I enjoyed chatting with them while we were sitting having a drink or waiting for breakfast. I’m sorry I forgot their names, one was the restaurant manager and the other two young gentlemen were an absolute delight.

Sudamala Suites is definitely the Jewel of Senggigi, and we are really looking forward to staying again, hopefully in the near future!

A beautiful boutique hotel set in gorgeous tropical gardens. I stayed in a ground floor partial ocean view which I would highly recommend only steps away from the pool and restaurant although they were close it wasn’t at all noisy it remained very tranquil. The food is amazing just like being in a top class restaurant. Rooms are very spacious and finished to a very high standard indoor and outdoor showers ground floor apartments have a bigger outdoor area, beds are huge and extremely comfortable, all rooms have a terrace with a large, sofa, table and chair. all the staff are so friendly and canoodled enough for you. I am so sad today because I have to leave this amazing hotel but at least I will take away some very special memories. 💖

I spent 4 nights there at the beginning of March. I had a room near the swimming pool on a bed and breakfast basis. Staff were really attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. There were very few guests so the place was very calm. I can imagine that having a room near the swimming pool could be noisy during the high season but probably worth it as the hotel is so beautiful. The restaurant is on the expensive side, for Indonesia but there are a few places nearby where you can eat for cheaper. However the food is so delicious that it is really worth it. I had one treatment at the spa (reflexology) and it was amazing! The only drawback was the mosquitoes as there are no nets or screens but they give you a mosquito plug and aerosol. This is truly a beautiful hotel. The pool is lovely and it's right on the beach, although currents are strong and it's not really recommended for children or those who are not strong swimmers. I would definitely go back!

We recently spent 8 days at the Sudamala Resort for our honeymoon and had a really great experience!

The service from the staff throughout our stay was absolutely brilliant! All staff members greeted us by name each time we walked by and asked how our day was and what we had been up to which was lovely and they couldn't do enough for us!

We arranged a trip to the Gili Islands through the hotel which was fab and very reasonably priced for a private tour and lunch included!

We used the spa a couple of times and had an excellent massage, body wrap and scrub and my husband also had a reflexology massage which he said was brilliant.

We were full board so had breakfast, lunch and dinner included. All meals were so good and varied too. We will be wanting a two course lunch every day now that we're home too! The only slight downside was there was only one choice of main meal for lunch and dinner. However, on a couple of occasions we asked for something from the main menu and they were more than happy to accommodate this at no extra charge which was good of them! We had said we would be happy to pay! And having said that, the food each day was very good - we didn't have a bad meal throughout our stay so can't complain!!

Highly recommend the Nasi Goreng and French Toast for breakfast too!

We also booked a Romantic Meal which was so good! Sadly, due to me having sun stroke I had to leave early as I wasn't feeling well but they brought the remainder of the meal to the room for my husband so he could still eat! The staff were really concerned and checked up on me the following day too which was lovely! In addition on our last night we had a taster of lots of different specialities which was just amazing!

The location is great being right on the beach so on clear days you can catch the sunset over the volcano from the bar which is stunning. You'd need to get a taxi to the main town and there are plenty of trips you can book to explore the island too.

There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance but we didn't really feel the need to make use of them as the hotel was so good and had 2 for 1 on cocktails at all times too!

At no fault of the hotel, we did have a lot of beach sellers approach us trying to sell bracelets and sarongs etc which we understood as it's their livelihood and the island has pretty much been closed to tourists for 3 years due to Covid and the earthquake prior to this! But they were quite persistent which got a little wearing when trying to enjoy lunch or a drink in the bar.

We stayed in a 1 bed pool villa which was superb, very private and spacious and it had an outside bathroom which was cool! The room was cleaned each day with towel origami! And flowers left on the bed which was a nice touch! The room had everything we needed for us to relax and be comfortable in.

All in all, an excellent stay and perfect choice for honeymooners! Highly recommend the hotel and Lombok itself for a nice relaxing stay!

If I could give more than 5* I would. We were blown away by the hotel. The service is exceptional, the best service I have ever received in my life. Their attention to detail is amazing. All the staff memorise your name which is such a personal touch. We didn’t tell them we were celebrating a birthday, but they surprised us by knowing we were! The room and bathroom were extremely generously sized and the beds were so comfortable. The toiletries supplied were great quality and smelt amazing. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the housekeeping staff were incredible- they would pay attention to when you went for breakfast or dinner so that your room would be turned around by the time you came back. I have never experienced such great, attentive service. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The pool area/infinity pool is gorgeous and the views of the sea and outlook to Bali, especially at sunset is stunning. There are plenty of sunbeds - many more than their are guests so you can take a pick of where you want to sit at any time of the day. The food and drinks are fantastic too and feels like dining in a posh restaurant, even at breakfast. The chef came out to speak to us a couple of times to check we were happy and the waiters were just amazing and so attentive. If you want something not on the menu they will be happy to accommodate you and the portions are so generous. We had a spa treatment which was lovely and reasonably priced. The hotel organised a snorkelling trip for us, which was amazing. Their driver stayed with us all day to make sure everything went smoothly and he was just brilliant as was the captain of the boat. All the staff speak amazing English.

I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough. I am sure there are other nice hotels in Lombok but the staff here make this hotel so so special. I wouldn’t normally write a review this strong, but I am honestly just blown away. Thank you to everyone at Sudamala. We will be back and I highly recommend staying with you. ❤️

Just as an aside, Lombok’s tourism industry has been hit very hard in recent years by the earthquake and then Covid. What I loved about Sudamala is how happy the staff are to welcome you to Lombok and their hotel. They are genuinely grateful to host you and I was happy to support a hotel where the staff told us they were all well looked after by the owner and they obviously enjoyed their jobs. For example, I know from the staff that during Covid, the owner of the hotel still paid their wages even when the hotel was closed. It was nice to know that the hotel was kind to its workers.

This was the second hotel as part of a Tui multi destination holiday, wow there is so much to say about this beautiful hotel. The location is stunning, the hotel grounds are well kept and so pretty, the pool is warm with the best view and our sunset room was stunning with the most amazing view and noise of the waves against the beach. The staff are exceptional and genuine, the chef at this hotel produces food at Michelin star level. I have never been to a hotel where a head chef is so in touch with his customers and liases with them as to what you would like to eat. The food is seriously yummy. We had a balinese massage which was relaxing and also took a snorkeling trip organised through the hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would like to say thank you to Juandi, Dedea, Sudaman, Putu, Anis, Dewa, Raman, Sahid and the lovely lady on reception who kindly upgraded our room on arrival (apologies if i have missed anyone). We are already planning a return in 2024 to this hotel and others in the Sudamala group
