Liked · The entry is gorgeous and the sunset views are superb. Very happy to see "Adults-only" and "No smoking" pool areas. Impressive place to hang out for a few days. Disliked · Unfortunately, the villas and rooms we saw need deep cleaning and updating. We could not find a pool villa that did not have stains or a musty smell, so we left without staying a single night. WiFi was unusably slow. Mosque noise. Management refunded one night of two. We moved to another villa resort nearby which was older, but much better maintained. Hopefully they will renovate and bring it back to higher standards.

Dear SFO_Drew, We apologize that that our rooms weren't up to the standards that you expected - and that all of our guests expect of Qunci Villas. Without staying at Qunci, at least you did get to enjoy our sunsets and adults-only pool...while conversely having a bad time browsing our Wifi and being bothered by the early morning prayer call by the local mosque. Let me say first, following the Covid years, we did a general updating and painting of all of our rooms and the hotel. Since then, all of our international travel agents and on-line agents have inspected Qunci and note on their sites that Qunci has been renovated and updated to standards that guests expect at our hotel. But in regard to your specific comments, - the smell : our roofs are made from Alang2, a natural grass material. It has been raining a lot in Lombok this past year with El Nina and this can leave a musty smell which is easily remedied by opening the doors to the room for a few minutes. Something WE should have done before you saw the rooms since the rooms hadnt been occupied for a couple of days and needed to be aired out. As well, we are in the process of refitting our alang2 roofs with internal wood paneling which, although not as *authetic * lombok looking will take care of any concerns over the smell of the alang2 roofs. - The Wifi : yes, it is slow in one area of the hotel on the southern side and we are already adding more routers in that area and increasing bandwidth capacity for the whole property. Internet access has its challenges in more remote areas which is the case with Lombok but cannot be an excuse for not getting good Wifi service. We are very cognizant of the necessity of good on-line access and are working our best to improve this service to best possible available in our area. - Stains and dirty: I apologize for this and asked me staff what the issue was and they werent quite sure. Yes, there can be *spots * on the pool lounge chairs - if they got wet. And we use natural terrazzo for our floors which unfortunately can stain. We polish the floors often (and are very clean) but there are marks in the natural stone that sometimes we cant get out. Happy Travels!

This hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. Wifi Internet connection is very weak, VPN blocked! Food expensive and not tasty. We spent three nights, and regret our decision to stay there. Spa also expensive. Nothing to do at the evening.

Dear Inspire 31892843365, We are obviously disappointed that you found Qunci Villas *boring * and that you did not enjoy your stay with us in Lombok. There isnt much for us to say in reply to your review as it's your personal point of view and, frankly, that is the benefit of TripAdvisor : it gives various perspectives on hotel choices so that future guests can make the choices that best suit them when deciding where to stay. I would like to make a couple of general comments, however, to help put your comments in perspective: Some people may call Qunci *boring *. Others call it *getting away *; *relaxing *. Most of our guests come to Qunci Villas to just chill and soak in the vibes, the sunsets, and the great food and drink with their loved ones. Many of our guests wont even leave the hotel! It's that kind of place. It's not a Club Med with lots of activities to sigh up for; nor is it a Hyatt with that buzz of activity. Qunci Villas – like most hotels on Lombok – is for chillin with their loved ones. That's the kind of vacation that our guests appreciate most when visiting us. Qunci Villas is located on Mangsit Beach, about 5 minutes outside of Senggigi on the west coast of Lombok. Mangsit is different from other areas of Lombok because of the amazing sunsets we have with Bali rising on the horizon literally right in front of Qunci Villas. (By contrast Kuta in the south of Lombok faces south and there are no sunsets to speak of.) The Mangsit area is very green, lush and tropical whereas other areas of Lombok are more arid and dry especially during the summer dry season. But also a big reason for guests to stay in Mangsit/Senggigi is because we are “centrally” located to everything that Lombok offers. So when this guest says Qunci is located in the middle of nowhere, well, in a sense he's right. But we are located in the middle of everywhere and hence the most strategic location to visit all the beauty Lombok has to offer and then return at night to fabulous romantic sunsets. Our food and drinks: Qunci Villas puts a lot of effort into providing great dining experiences which is why our guests typically eat most of their meals with us and why around 15-20% of our guests are from neighboring hotels. Our Chef Vito (Italian) has worked around the world in world class hotels and his most recent venture before joining Qunci was running Bali's #1 high-end fresh seafood restaurant. It is very rare that we get negative comments on our food, food service or ambiance. BUT if our establishments are not to your liking, trust me, we dont post security guards at the hotel entrance prohibiting guests from eating at other restaurants in the area with varying menus and price points. Smile. We hope that the above helps future guests decide on the best hotel experience for them. Qunci Villas is not for everyone. But gratefully it is one of the best hotel experiences for the thousands who have so far stayed with us to enjoy our Idyllic Lombok. Happy Travels!

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with friendliness and attentive staff. Our room was beautifully prepared with flowers acknowledging our wedding anniversary. Every meal was delicious but included breakfast was not only generous but the best we had- stunning!!! Every staff member from the front desk, garden staff to pool staff and restaurant staff were engaging, friendly, welcoming and happy. A magnificent chocolate mousse cake was left in our room for my birthday- this was amazing!! Staying at Qunci villas made our trip to Lombok one we thoroughly enjoyed and we will be back!! If you're looking to venture over to Bali's neighboring island of Lombok, then certainly look at staying at Qunci Villas, a modern amenity with 78 suites and villas set alongside the ocean. One feature we especially liked about our room was the attached yet private and secluded outdoor shower and bathroom area. Service was top-notch, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food excellent. For luxurious relaxation, this is the place to be, but be aware that there are frequent calls-to-prayer from the local mosque.

We came back to Qunci 10 years after our first stay and we’re extremely pleased again with the entire experience. Very friendly staff, excellent food (congrats to the Italian chef), very comfortable room, and fantastic sunset. Definitely a top choice if you stay in Senggigi area.

Amazing stay as always, unbelievable staff and food. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel at home. This time for example they even set up a new router for wireless connection to our room so we could monitor our baby on the monitor. The new chef Vittorio Has created wonderful menus and the buffet is with entertainment that are offered during the week are amazing. Thanks to all the staff once more.

Well this is our second time in Lombok. This time we just search for resort to just chill and relax. Read so many reviews about this resort and just picked the right one for our holiday and enjoyed so much. Booked 2 deluxe rooms with garden view, excellent set up as we got the top room and we can see our teens room from our balcony and view the ocean. Breakfast ala carte and lots of varieties to choose from. Food in here just so delicious. Staffs were all amazing. When we arrived it was so packed. You can tell they still understaffed but they still served with smiles on their face. When we chat with the waiters they mentioned 'busy still much better than 3 years of doing nothing during the Covid'. Mindset well trained by the resort. 3 infinity pools facing the oceans with 1.6m in depth. Happy hours start from 4.00pm - 7.00pm. Excellent place to drink your cocktails while watching the sunset behind Mt Agung of Bali. Don't expect TV in your room. There is a saying 'more sunset, less netflix'. 2 convenience stores just around the corner. M Mart the one next to the petrol station do sell alcohol.…

Good location, very friendly staff, great service and restaurant food is nice and serving is so generous! Especially enjoyed the Japanese Udon Noodle soup and Dessert Caffaine Boost at the Asian restaurant. We stayed in the One Room Pool Villa and it was very comfortable! Massage at the Spa is superb! Highly recommended!
