Stayed here for a night. Fantastic place with friendly staffs. Unfortunately they were understaffed, so service a bit slow for the price they charged. Otherwise excellent stay. The area were well maintained with beautiful garden and swimming pools.

Chianti was our last stop on our weeks long trip through Switzerland and Italy. For some reason, we decided to head to San Felice for two nights after leaving Tuscany and on our way to Zurich for our flight home. (Yes, look at a map and see how ill advised that seems). And the whole way there, we were questioning ourselves on why we chose that as our final destination. Our drive was easy and the scenery was amazing. Once we arrived, our self doubts as to why we drove a bit out of our way evaporated as we enjoyed two delightful days at this amazing property. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the service impeccable, the wine tasting amazing and the breakfast and dinner service excellent. San Felice is 30-45 minutes away from Siena and once you are there you will likely want to stay and enjoy all this wonderful hotel has to offer. We usually don't hang out at the properties we visit, choosing instead to explore the surrounding area. But in this case, we spent nearly the entire day just relaxing and taking in the amenities of the property. You will likely do the same!

The location of that hotel is its main problem: more then 30km distance from the centre of Petrópolis and still 15km to Itaipava, situated in a narrow valley with the highway BR040 Rio de Janeiro-Belo Horizonte is not really convenient. The rooms were average, but the breakfast was really good - probably one of the best, we had in Brazil so far. Remarkable highlight were the pets , which belong to the hotel (??): well-tended, friendly and really entertaining, when cat and dog fight.
