I was here along with two other friends in March-2011. Booked a three bed shared bath. Bedrooms and the bath was very clean. Bathroom was quite large. Very friendly staff, helped by giving information about city and important places and what was going on in the city at that time. Very nice rooms for a very cheap price. Defenitely recommanded...

We stayed there in Jun 2012 before going to Paris. Pros: - Booked a shared toilet room, there were two rooms each level sharing 1 toilet - Toilet was big - Staffs was friendly but didn't offer much information - Cheap - Allowed luggage to be kept till 6pm. But who knows whether anyone could just take it and leave....

I booked into and paid in advance for 5 nights in June 2012. I booked the double private room with private bath. The only towel provided was a tiny hand towel/face cloth and only one of the 2 pillows had a pillow slip, the other was bare. The bed sheet had a huge L-shaped tear. About an hour after checking...

Excellent location, very short walk to centre of Prague. Fob entry made property feel secure as main door was always locked, also option to lock door to the floor (though obviously other people staying on the floor have keys and may not always lock it). Bathroom only shared on floor (1 private double room and a dorm). Helpful chap working...

I was initially travelling with four other friends, however they could not make it last minute and I had to change the reservation but they still offered me the 4 seater dorm all to myself! The hostel was located very close to a tram stop and a sub station, further it was only a few minutes walking distance from the...

This hostel was great. Walking distance from Old Town, Castle, Charles Bridge, astronomical clock, etc, and they provided a map. 15mins from Florenc Bus Station. The staff were lovely, they provided an adaptor (no charge, deposit required) and when we asked they taught us some czech words like hi and thanks. The private room was fairly basic, but had the...

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hostel last July and it was great. It is very close to the nearest metro station, but it isnt too far to walk into town either. We walked back to hostel after a night out on the town at a great club near the Charles Bridge. Very clean and our room was reasonably...

This place is a great little find. Very close to everything you'd need. Walking distance to the old town and across the various bridges. Just up the road from the Opera House but in a quiet side street. Parking is nearby too, on street until 8am or something. Rooms are spacious and even though our room was adjacent to the...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
