This place made us feel like visiting diplomats from a foreign superpower. Wow! Clean cut, modern, historic tones and yet warm, bang up to date and welcoming. An old monastery, updated and primed for visiting dignitaries... and us! Prague feels like it's on the 'up' and this place does it justice... with a smile. Lovely people , great service, a...

The hotel, made up of a series of buildings from a monastery lies on the Lesser Town side of the city, beneath Prague Castle and a few footsteps (ok about a 3 minute walk) from Charles Bridge. The hotel was originally created to be part of the Rocco Forte Collection and the handiwork of Sir Rocco's sister who is the...

We are big travelers and this is a true 5 star hotel. Unique hotel with charm and restored to perfection. Great service and location. Bathrooms are maybe he best we have seen in our travels. 10 minute walk to the City Center (Clock Tower) and Prague castle. Great restaurants close by. Only negative, which is not a hotel issue is...

Historic meets classy...great feeling of luxury and wood beams. Generous breakfast layout, great coffee, and a selection of newspapers. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Never had dinner at the hotel since we ate while exploring the city, but noticed non-guests arriving going straight to the restaurant.

From walking in to the front entrance of the hotel, I knew it would be special. Ondrej upgraded me to a classic suite and gave us real special treatment for our anniversary. The room was clean and gorgeous, and the staff were professional and courteous. Will definitely recommend and return.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our first trip to Prague. I loved the location, near everything, but away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist town. It was a quiet oasis in a busy city. A former monastery (and other buildings pieced together), the walls around the property keep out the noise and provide a sense...

Spent there 3 nights with my wife. What a great service! Would say that in this budget range it is the perfect hotel to stay in Prag. The location is also very convenient foremost if you don't have much time to spent in Prague as its situated between the castle and the main city, which means that everything is about...

The hotel is beautiful, a converted monastery, the original features of the building have been kept whilst trying to ensure 5* quality with all modern comforts. The staff were attentive and friendly, always saying good morning etc. I found the hotel quite cold, in places, but the staff were very accommodating with the room temperature and additional blankets/duvets

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
