This is a very cool hotel with interesting rooms. The breakfast is amazing as well. Also, their air conditioning works far better than most European hotels. It's in a great location that is within easy walking distance of the old town square. The price is great.

The staff were friendly, helpful and well-informed, the room was spotless, the bed and pillows were perfectly comfortable and the breakfast was amazing!! Hotel Friday is centrally located in Old Town, which is brilliant, except that Na Prikope is a very busy street and quite noisy at night, when you want to get some sleep. I stayed for 9 nights,...

This hotel was very modern and clean. The rooms were big and the beds comfortable. The room itself was way too warm and heating is controlled centrally even with it completely turned off we had to open the windows but as we did this the noise first thing from 630-7am was really loud. It sounded like bin trucks or a...

We stayed here for four nights the first weekend of Christmas Markets and although no lounge/bar area, the bedrooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is plentiful but am not sure about vegetables being served with eggs and bacon! It's a great central location for shops and restaurants with Wenceslas Square, Municipal House, The Old Town Square, Astronomical Clock all a...

We stayed here for three nights and found the hotel to be everything we needed. Positives: - superb location - friendly and helpful staff - free WiFi - toiletries and hair dryer provided - good continental breakfast - immaculately clean and well presented Negatives: - not the best hairdryer but saves packing - could potentially be noisy at weekends but...

Apparently Friday used to be called 'the Floor Hotel'. At some point they have given this hotel a superficial facelift and changed the name. The facelift has been done quite cheap. One thought one coat of paint is enough to re-plaint the doors and closets. The pictures online seem to convey a funky hotel, but it isn't. The mattress is...

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Not only does it cost less than a typical 3 star price, it's quality far exceeds a typical 4 star standard. The hot breakfast is included and tasty. The room is huge and clean. The coffee and juice are free all day. The staff is super helpful. On our...

Decent hotel with no major complaints. It's staffed by good front desk personnel and is situated in a convenient location. Special mention needs to be given to the complimentary breakfast though as it was excellent.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
