If you told me for £159 for 3 nights we would be able to get a top floor room the size of an apartment with a roof top terrace overlooking the entire city, views of the old square from our bed.... I wouldn't have believed you. It's by no means perfect. But it's location, friendly staff and stunning terrace made...

We paid £285.00 for a 4 night stay at Residence Leon D'Oro using Booking.com. We stayed from 24th-28th of November 2016 in a double/twin room. I will start off with the positives - the hotel location is great, you can walk comfortably to all of Prague's hotspots and landmarks. That is around the only positive we found from our stay...

Situated just off the old town square, very clean, adequate buffet breakfast, large rooms with wall mounted fans. Pretty much perfect, two slight issues, the bells of the church next door ring at 8am for around 5minutes, they are hard to ignore and it is extremely hot in the hotel with the heating working full power, ok for some but...

This hotel is lovely. I visited Prague with 3 friends and we all shared a room. It had a king and a double bed. To be honest it was more like a studio apartment with a kitchenette and a dining table. Very spacious with lovely high ceilings and comfortable beds. The bathroom was also a good size with a very...

What a bargain, the hotel is 5 mins walk from the old town square and wenceslas square. Free wifi Friendly staff The room was huge and the double bed was so comfy. Marble floors made the room feel like we should have paid double of what we did! The buffet breakfast was varied. Overall a lovely stay.

I stayed here for a long weekend with my aunty and cousin in November. The hotel and room itself were very nice. The only issues were the bathroom had an unpleasant drainage smell, you could hear every noise from the rooms around you and the windows weren't double glazed so you could hear everything on the street (i.e the drunk...

Stayed here three nights. Only thing going for it is it's location which is walking distance to everything you want in Prague. Old world charm can sometimes be quant, but this place is just old. Doesn't look anything like the photos. Bed was so uncomfortable. Old Spring mattress..rock hard. I had to double up my quilt and lie on that...

Just returned from a lovely break .Stayed here for 3 nights. The location of the hotel is excellent. Just a minutes walk from the Old Town Square. Quite a quiet location. We booked a taxi direct using Prague Airport Shuttle. It costs £20 one way. They were great. The room we were given was not as we had booked. No...

My significant other and I really enjoyed our stay here. Incredibly close to old town square. The woman at the front desk works almost all day and night, she was very helpful. The room we had was very large and clean. Great for the price you pay.

We had a wonderful stay at Leon d'Or. Only two minutes walking from the old town square, huge clean room with an amazing view of the tower of the Old Town Hall and of Gothic Church of Our Lady before Týn. friendly staff, free bottle of water at the arrival, big buffet breakfast in the morning. Great value for the...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
