Great hotel for location, helpful staff and clean. My only negative is the wifi wasn't great and there was loud building works going on in the day time from the neighbours and it started at 7.30am! Which is early when you are on holiday but hardly the hotel's fault. The hotel was always full so moving to another rooom wasn't possible.

The hotel is situated in the old town and is very close to the railway station, hence convenient to walk to and from the station if you have one small bag. The hotel is very close to the Old town square as well, thus in and out of the square is pretty convenient for those wanting a break in between...

Located in an ideal position between the 2 main squares this little gem is excellent value for money! We stayed in the 2 bed apartment on the 5th floor (room 412) and it is ideal for 4 people. It has a private roof terrace with sweeping views of Prague. The beds are very comfy ! The girl on reception is...

Hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of Charles bridge wencesles square, old town etc. Hotel is clean and breakfast very good. Room clean but did suffer a little bit of a smell in bathroom. But put that down to drains outside. All in all a comfortable stay for a couple of nights.

This was a beautifully appointed hotel with classic antique themes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for many reasons. It's right in the heart of this beautiful city, a minute from the square and where the action is. There's something for everyone nearby. The hotel was immaculate in all areas, rooms spacious, wifi great, breakfast options were great and all...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from the 30th August to the 2nd September. We arrived very early (about 10.00am), and the hotel allowed us to store our luggage until our room was available so that we could make the most of the day. Once we booked in at 2pm, we went up to our room (No. 502)...

We arrived at Leon d'oro late in the evening. There is only one person working at a time so check in took a whole lot of time. They had not noticed that we would need an extra bed for a child and did not have a room that would fit the extra bed. Therefore they upgraded us to a suite...

This hotel's major advantage is its central location, within walking distance of all major landmarks and attractions. As I am a walker myself I didn't have to use any sort of public transports during my stay. Regarding the hotel itself, there was an unclean pan/pot when we got there, and furniture was moved without our knowledge or permission. Given it...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
