After the waitress took our order it took up to half an hour for the food to arrive and half was missing. They finally brought everything after another 15 mins, without any apologies. Not friendly staff! Food was ok but cold.

I'd searched long and hard for a hotel that did not charge the earth for single travellers, nor give them a single bed for the privilege of doing so, and the Hotel Adria came up trumps. My room was of a comfortable size, with a good bathroom and selection of toiletries. Whilst the TV had poor reception, this was of...

This is a very quite place, especially for shopping or beer tours, if you know what I mean. The hotel itself is situated in the very centre of the city and is surrounded by many shops and boutiques. The service is all very polite and professional. Will definitely recommend it to Prague visitors. Way to go!

The hotel is excellent with good rooms and nice breakfast and well trained and highly professional personnel. Of note, Michaela Davidova, a new reception manager that was fluent in Spanish and English besides Check, proved to be very efficient in taking care of the loss of my bags that did not arrive with me in my flight. She has excellent...

This hotel is 3 stars at best. It is located on Wenceslas square and within easy walking distance of the train/bus station. It's also easy walking distance to the main square and surrounding attractions. It's near a metro station and a quick ride across the river to the Prague Castle area. The rooms are a bit dated with CRT TVs...

Hotel conveniently located on Wenscelas Square, great room on top floor overlooking lovely garden area and views of Petrin Hill. Very clean and modern room, safe, mini bar, TV etc. lacks tea making facilities, easily remedied as we took travel kettle and supplies. Breakfast something for everyone, plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and courteous. Added bonus of outside seating...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Adria Praha. The location is perfect for exploring the city on foot or via public transportation. There are many wonderful restaurants within walking distance and the Old Town area is just a couple of blocks away. The hotel staff was great and provided excellent guest service! I would highly recommend Hotel Adria Praha...

The hotel is conveniently located if you plan to walk around while sightseeing. It's only a 3 stars hotel, but its proximity to Prague's major attractions adds an extra star, I guess. Rooms are clean, but a bit dated. I'm 1.9 m and my feet were hanging out of the bed, which was minuscule as far as I'm concerned. Breakfast...

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I had a corner room on the first floor near the lobby, but it was quite airy and spacious. They have free washers and dryers downstairs, and the customer service is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is at the top of a hill about a ten minute walk from the old city. Highly...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
