A short walk from Old Town, Maximilian is a boutique-ish hotel situated in a calm neighborhood. Within easy reach, you can find an array of restaurants (including two of Prague's Michelin stars). The hotel has two parts -- one new and one renovated. Our room was perfect. Large by European standards with modern fixtures. Hotel staff was extremely accommodating. No...

I had not been to Prague for 10 years and last time I went, I had a massage at this hotel. This time we stayed. The staff are so welcoming, quiet rooms, perfect location and a lovely breakfast. Some of the guests were grumpy to say the least but that made it even more fun. Massage was just as good...

Stayed at hotel during quick visit with my wife, the hotel was well situated and very pleasant. The staff were the heroes of the stay. When at the train station with 15 minutes before our train was leaving, we realized our passports were secure in the room safe. We called and the staff jumped into action. They found the passports,...

It was my first time visiting Prague and Maximilian Hotel made it even better than I imagined. The entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly! As soon as we arrived they explained where everything was on a map and even suggested where to go to eat that night. I'd definitely stay there again!

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
