Yes, it's all about location - and Hotel at the Three Ostriches knows what does this means :) There are two main points. First the Hotel is located few steps from the famous Charles' bridge. Second the Hotel is few steps away from Lesser Quarter square. If the Old Town quarter is beautiful, the Lesser Quarter is much more romantic....

The hotel is directly on the Charles bridge. The staff is very nice, the rooms big and clean. Don't forget to try the restaurant at least once during your stay. It was an amazing experience that made me enjoy the beautiful Prague even more

If you are looking for a hotel in the old Prague, this is the best choice. You can easily access Charles Bridge, because it's only few meters far and Prague Castle or Old Town Square are also close. This hotel is not modern, but old fashioned, so you can feel the old Prague here!

A colleague and I stayed for 2 nights whilst in Prague for business. If you want to be in the heart of the old town the situation overlooking the end of Charles Bridge on the Malastranska side cannot be bettered. But our rooms, on the second floor, and booked on a last minute rooms site were quite small and a...

I want to express our warmest thanks for the friendly attitude, two weeks ago, when we stayed at Hotel U Tri pstrosu. This was our forth visit to Prague and we have earlier stayed at three different hotels in the neighborhood. Hotel 3 Ostriches is most certainly the best. I want to start by saying that when the staff found...

This hotel is a beautiful renaissance building, with much of the original stonework and painted beams intact. Our 3rd floor room overlooked the Charles Bridge and boasted one of the original painted ceilings dating back to the Renaissance. Breakfast was included in the price, and was very satisfying: eggs, cereal, bread and pastries, fruit, coffee/tea, cheeses and meats. We enjoyed...

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location at the west end of the Charles Bridge. Lovely old building with original fresco from its days as home to a seller of ostrich feathers. Handy walking distance of the Castle, old town and all the main sights. My room (23) had a painted wooden beamed ceiling and a view onto the start...

Very good: Could not be a better location. On the quiet side of the Charles Bridge, right in the middle of everything. Beautiful neighborhood. The price was great, especially for a decent hotel in that neighborhood. Relatively good: The breakfast was plentiful, if relatively unexciting. Everything was pretty clean. Historic building. Staff was usually helpful, though surprisingly did not know...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

“If you don't want to be bothered by noise, ask for a room that does not over look the bridge. This hotel does not have A/C - so not sure I'd want to stay there in the summer. If you are American, remember that the 1st floor is one floor up - so the second floor is two flights of stairs. ”
