Great hotel great price clean. staff helpful and very polite. Breakfast was included in the price of the stay and brilliant with great choice of food. Coffee fresh orange and so on. Not far from the main sites would really recommend this hotel if on a budget. You can't moan at anything for the price your paying.

Our stay at Hotel Merkur was lovely. The staff is very friendly and the service is outstanding. The hotel is walking distance from every important tourist attraction and very near the central of the city, the old town square. I recommend staying here during your visit in lovely Prague.

Our stay at the Hotel Merkur was very pleasant. Prague is very beautiful during spring time and the staff in Hotel Merkur is super friendly, probably the friendliest I've encountered when traveling. Big breakfast is served from 7.00am to 10.00am and offers something for everybody. The hotel is located near every major tourist attraction and the whole Praha 1 area...

Room are very spacious. It is only in 5 minutes from Florenc subway station and approximately in 15 minutes from the city Centre at a slow pace. However, it isn't noisy at all in the rooms so nothing disturbs you while you're sleeping. Staff is very pleasant: a few people speaking Russian on the reception and everyone speaks English so...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
