Excellent location, friendly staff (special thanks to Jan for all his help), lovely food and beautifully appointed rooms. The lunchtime guest bistro providing coffee and sandwiches free was a treat. My dietary restricitons were taken into account and accommodated.

Never before stayed in a hotel with the level of commitment to service is as great as this ...rooms styled in the most amazing local decor...restaurant food fantastic ...bistro (free) such a beautiful gesture ...manager/staff can be of more service if they tried ...the receptionist even dragged my bags up the road to the transfer as not vehicles are allowed...

I can't rate this hotel highly enough. Firstly, the location is perfect - it's right by the Charles Bridge but set slightly back so it's very quiet and peaceful. Second, the interior is beautiful; it's an old building but sensitively renovated and spotlessly clean. Third, the room we had (19) was perfect - it has a seperate living room with...

This hotel and it's staff far exceeded my expectations! The room was large & comfortable with a wonderful bath area. We had breakfast every morning in their attached restaurant and had a variety of items to choose from along with a wonderful variety of beverages. I can't say enough about the staff - so very welcoming and helpful. I would...

From the moment of arrival everything was great - the Receptionist was very helpful, the room was perfect, with good view to Kampa Park and onto the square outside. As we arrived on Easter Monday there was a little market in the square outside which was pleasant and stayed there throughout our stay. Breakfast was great - excellent choice for...

I would have no worries in recommending this hotel or returning for another visit. The hotel is welcoming and clean with more than adequate rooms and facilities. Coffee/tea making facility in the room was an added bonus. Breakfast was more than adequate and should satisfy most tastes. We only had one meal in the restaurant on our last evening and...

Best location, kind and helpful staff, cosy, clean, quiet and comfortable rooms with nice amenities. Easy to get to by car. The hotel was able to provide us a parking permite for a daily fee and we parked just at the corner of the hotel. FYI you can drive through the pedestrian street To get to the hotel. Jan the...

Stayed here for 5 nights for my wife's birthday recently. Had a great room on the top floor with splendid views over Charles bridge, lots of room and everything you need. Couldn't fault service from reception with advice, transfer bookings and lots of guidebooks and maps to borrow. Extra touch was the bottle of sparkling wine they delivered to our...

Nice salad choice of beverage and a nicely done salmon with squash. We're a group of 28 so it's tough but they did fine. Very little English among the staff but very pleasant. The pilsner was nice and they serve only Pepsi products.

PROS: 1. Amazing front desk staff (thank you so much, Jan & Anna. They helped us by calling our pre-booked tours to verify our pickup time & book a taxi ride back to the airport. This made it so much easier since they can speak Czech to the tour companies.) We also printed out the plane boarding passes free of charge....

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
