I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights (28th & 29th Jan). After reading the reviews here, I almost suggested to my partner to cancel but didn't. I think some of the reviews are a little unfair. The hotel would not get four stars in other cities but I believe the Czech system is based on self-grading. The location was... More

We stayed for three nights between Christmas and New Year's Eve, renting two rooms (triple and double). This was part of an Air France package. The rooms were small but my wife found them charming. The bathrooms were even smaller, but functional and clean. The beds were also small, with very soft mattreses that my teenagers hated. As others have... More

Two of us stayed at the Hotel Vysehrad for 2 nights. Upon arrival, we were very jetlagged and were treated very rudely when we reached the hotel. We were told not to use the elevator and had to lug our suitcases to the top floor on our own--even when the elevator was working. The room was not the best: the... More

I think that Hotel Vysehrad's slightly less than central location really added to its charm. Our room was more than ample, clean, and comfortable. Our window faced the front of the hotel, so admittedly, our view was ...more inspiring...than those on the other side. But above all, it was the staff that made it more fun to stay there. Very... What an awful hotel. When we arrived, we were one hour before check in and asked to leave our bags and come back later. Sheer rudeness in response. When we did return and went to our room, the decor seemed to be a cross between a cottage and a 70s show. There is chintz everywhere and the bathroom pottery was... More

Ok, the hotel was in a good location and the main attractions were only a couple of stops away on the metro which was a 5min walk away. BUT there is no way that the hotel lives up to the description given to us by our tour operator 'Leisure Direction'. I do intend to write to them about our dissapointment.... More

Very happy with the hotel and its location. Nearest metro station is a short walk away and it only takes a few minutes to reach main areas of Prague because of the very efficient transport system. Bedroom comfortable and very clean; breakfast a wide-ranging buffet; staff helpful-although a little uncertain about us leaving luggage when we arrived early. We only... More

A wonderful hotel except for the location. Although it is only two stops down from Wenceslas Square, it is only truly accessible by subway. The hotel is about a seven minute walk to the station. There appears to be no tram accessibility to and from this hotel. This is a negative because Prague is best viewed via the tram. It... More

Having read the reviews before I left, I was confused as to what to expect. I need not have worried. The Hotel was a few seconds over 6 mins amble from the metro stop beyond Vysehrad itself, or alternatively the tram was only a few yards further on, and a very pleasant ride. (no 18). ?4 ish buys you a... More

I booked a package vacation with gotoday.com including airfare 6 nights at the Vysehrad Hotel breakfast included. My daughter and I were both very happy with our accomodations and with the very helpfull staff. We could not have ask for a more pleasant trip. Hope to return to Prague someday and will definitly plan to stay at the Vysehrad again.
