I can't begin to recount the many reasons we have for being so very pleased with this fabulous hotel. We had 9 family members - staying in various types of rooms - and from the moment we arrived to the minute we left all the staff treated us extremely well! The hotel itself is extremely comfortable and the location truly...

I read about Pod Vezi here on TripAdvisor and you really can't overstate how right all these 5 star reviews are. My friend and I arrived in Prague at the train station and took the public transit to the Malostranska (red line to Muzeum, then green a few stops to Malostranksa). We then walked to the hotel. The hotel staff...

Our experience with Pod Vezi was A+ from the beginning. Reserving online was easy, affordable. The staff at the reception was friendly and warm and they gave us useful recommendations for our sightseeing. Our room was located on the 3rd floor of the annex building. The room was huge and extremely clean. The hotel location is perfect, right at the...

This was my first hotel to book through TripAdvisor but as always the other reviewers didn't let us down. From the time of booking through our departure the hotel staff was incredible to work with. As we were coming in by bus from Nuremberg I contacted them about the best way to arrive at the hotel. They booked a car...

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this hotel is. It is in a FANTASTIC location, the rooms are beautiful including a nespresso machine. Everyday there was another little treat in our room: a basket of fresh fruit or a plate of delicious cookies. The breakfast is incredible with a make it yourself waffle iron and an orange juice press...

The hotel is located next to Charles bridge tower. Can not ask for a better location. The staff is superb. They went out of their way to help people. When my friend who was not a hotel guest asking for direction to a bus stop, the front desk printed out the bus schedule and marked the map for him. The...

This was a good hotel - they had great service, the rooms and hotel was very clean and the staff was great to deal with. The beds were very comfortable. We stayed at the Dependence which is a across the street from the main location - which makes it quieter. They had great touches to make the stay very personal -...

Fantastic hotel. Perhaps my favorite ever. Let's start with location: you walk out, turn a corner, and then you are on the Saint Charles Bridge with simply magnificent views. You can walk to just about every part of the city from here. We did not use public transport. Room: clean, comfortable, and spacious. We were in the building across the...

The location of this hotel is incredible. It is within easy walking distance of all the major attractions on both sides of the river. We stayed in two rooms in the annex across the road from the main hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and had nice amenities e.g. nespresso machine. However you can hear the street noise at night-...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
