Very friendly front desk, in excellent location near Charles Bridge on quiet square. Very nicely decorated rooms with Persian rugs, baroque decor. Would highly recommend. Very good breakfast buffet as well.

The trip to Prague with 3 nights accommodation at a beautiful hotel "U PAVA" was our dream came true. Great location to be close in the center of Prague to everywhere especially to Charles Bridge. Good and clean bedroom with the internet working well in the bedroom. Very quiet place insight of the building as well. Very good customer service...

By typical issues with an older hotel, I mean too few power points, no proper desk for working, dim lighting, no coffee and milk in the room, the internet didn't work except in the main lobby. But it is super charming! The air conditioner was loud, but luckily we didn't need it. Excellent location. They kindly didn't get mad at...

A summery.... A really beautiful place, excellent breakfast, terrific quiet ( but central ) location, good bedroom and bathroom, let down slightly by some silly niggles which shouldn't happen at all. In general, a very good 3 star hotel ( not really a 4 ), well worth the money. Just came back from 3 nights at the U Pava. This...

I stayed there just overnight. The hotel is beautifully decorated, it's not spacious at all but I liked it this way. The stuff was very attentive. I had some troubles with the room safe but after a could of calls to the reception it was solved. The only thing which upset me is the size of the room (was tiny)...

We stayed at U Pava hotel for our wedding in green two-room suite in the second floor. I completely agree with one of the previous author who said that this hotel is ideal for these who wants to be a princess, who want to live a little bit in ancient times. Perfect choice! The view (though for me it is...

I stayed in U Pava for three nights beetween Aug. and Sep. 2013. It's has great location: near the Charles bridge, just around the corner from Kafka Museum and it has a great decor! It´s set in a beautiful area of the city, Malá Strana, and though near many attractions, the hotel is at a quiet square. I found the...

Ideal location on a quiet square just at the west end of the Charles Bridge; very convenient and while busy with tourists all day, there isn't a lot of traffic/noise in evenings. Twenty six rooms, each different, and worth upgrading to one of the front suites for a postcard view of the Castle. Lots of charm but housekeeping leaves a...

Great location and decor, our suite looked fab and the bed was comfi. Negatives were definitely the service except for the lady at reception nobody smiled. The breakfast was average and you hear absolutely everything if you have a room facing the road. we are heavy sleepers so it wasn't too much of a problem for us. The location was...

Just back from a three night stay and found the hotel very pleasant. I had a room in the rear of the hotel and wish now that I had upgraded to one of the deluxe rooms or suites at the front. There doesn't seem to be much difference in price and it would certainly be worth doing, plus you would...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
