All the positive comments are spot on. I selected this hotel using the reviews on here and we had a very enjoyable break. The location is in the city centre, everything from the castle, charles bridge, wenceslas square is easily walkable (and we are all retired). There's a large supermarket a few doors down and across the road if you...

My parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and they decided to invite their children and grandchildren to a 5-day holiday in Prague. We were lucky to find the Salvator, as they were offering, for a very reasonable price, a special package including accommodation, breakfast, transport to/from the airport, tickets to the black theatre and tourist information and tips in...

Very good location, nice staff, charming. They have a very god restaurant and a travel agency on the 1st floor, where you can buy vouchers for concerts and theater. Central location, with good price. Definitely would come back.

I've been in Prague twice and both times I chose to stay at Hotel Salvator. Being just a 5-10 minute walk from the Old Town Square (a very pleasant walk too), just on the next road from the Hilton (not the Hilton on the river, the other one), the location is almost ideal. Quiet but right next to the lively...

We chose this hotel because we were looking for a triple room and options were limited. This hotel came up as very reasonable and we half expected a cramped room with 3 beds and no room to swing a cat. How wrong we were. There was an entrance lobby with wardrobe and WC, then another area leading to the bathroom,...

The Good: Great room, spacious and clean. Concierge was very helpful and spoke perfect english. All the major sites were easily walkable, though Prague is a small city. The breakfast was in the adjoining restaurant and was very good quality. The Bad: To get to the restaurant for breakfast you have to put your layers on as you're going through...

Excellent hotel, stayed for 3 nights. Room on 1st floor was huge with separate hall bathroom and toilet. Very quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent with large choice of food. Evening meal was even better, best meal we had whilst in Prague and all others where good. Staff extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. Liverpool, England.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
