Very good hotel. Excellent location. Nice staff. Rooms spotless as the rest. Taxi drivers charge far too much but cannot fault hotel. We enjoyed our time in Pav as in Prague. If we come back we will stay here again!

Overall we had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Pav. Large spacious room, comfotable bed. Unfortunately the shower was hand held which was annoying. The breakfast was okay but it felt like you were in a school cafeteria. The hotel was located a short walk from the old town and 15 minutes from the train station. If you are arriving by...

We stayed six days in lovely but freezing Prague in Easter time 2008. Out of these, we spent four nights in Hotel Pav, which exceeded our expectations greatly! The rates were modest when booking (through hotels.com), and our hopes weren't that high. The room was spacious, extremely neat and modern, but basic at the same time. The bathroom was also...

Hotel Pav certainly deserves it's very high reputation. We were greeted by a very helpful receptionist and allocated a suite on the 5th floor which had a roof terrace overlooking the National Theatre and Prague Castle in the distance...very romantic! Our room was kept spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was varied and it...

My husband and I have just returned from Prague today after visiting this hotel with friends. It was in excellent order throughout, and a credit to the management: Rooms very modern, airy and clean. We had a non smoking room on the upper fifth floor which was great. The breakfast buffet was very good. There was plenty of choice and...

We found Hotel Pav through this site. When we arrived, the hotel staff allowed us to check in early as our flight from Toronto arrived at 06:00. They were pleasant and friendly and could speak english quite well. We had a room/loft on the top (5th) floor facing the main road. Our room was spotless and spacious. Breakfast was very...

We stayed at the Hotel Pav from 9/16-9/19/2008. I was very impressed with the front desk staff. Their English was excellent and they assisted us with directions, recommendations on local restaurants, currency exchange and wake up calls. Our room on the fourth floor was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The included breakfast had a wide range of choices. The...

We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Pav and I would not hesitate to return. The hotel is very clean, modern and very nicely decorated. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the old and the new town and only around 15mins walk to the centre of old town's bars/restaurants/shops. A few reviews have commented on the noise...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
