Pros: location is the centre of the action, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast buffet (included in price) and cute decor. Cons: crappy wifi sometimes, no lift (uhhhhhhh) and the smell of cigarette smoke that permeates through the windows into the rooms. A God stay on the whole.

The restaurant is located near Charles bridge. It seems a very popular place. The food is very delicious. You can sit almost on the street but it has heating inside,so it's not cold. The portions aren't big, but for one person they are enough. I ordered risotto with mushrooms and Parmesan and my husband ordered tortoliny with ham and cheese....

Didn't stay at the hotel, only ate in the covered restaurant area opposite the hotel. Fantastic location, right by the Charles Bridge and too pricey either. A great place to rest your legs, watch the passing crowds and enjoy a good beer. Not only that, but the food is delicious!! I highly recommend the Pork Knuckle - best food I...

I stayed at the U Zlateho Stromu Hotel in Prague for three nights. I was looking for an old world charm and bohemian style hotel, something that represented Prague - and I found it! Even better it was a central location. Close to the river so I couldn't get lost (often) and within walking distance from the major tourist attractions...

The hotel is a stone's throw from Charles Bridge and is on the main thoroughfare between the bridge and Old Town Square. There are many hostelries and shops in the vicinity. The hotel is on four floors but does not have a lift so is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties. The staff are very friendly, multilingual and always willing...

Unbelievable location - stones throw from the Charles, in Old Town, easy walk to so many things. If you don't mind smoke smell, this is a great place to stay, but I had to relocate to another restaurant because even though the rooms are non-smoking, the smell of smoke wafts up from the restaurant and club downstairs.

Only stopped in the covered bar area opposite the hotel entrance to have something to eat, but I was certainly impressed with the quality of the food. The service did have some delay, and the service wasn't very engaging, but still a lovely place to stop for a bite to eat in your travels. Brilliant location too.

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
