The rooms look very crude, but all basic services are provideda and it's quite clean. A good budget place for just washing and sleeping. A great plus is the location very near to the main bus and train stations.

We arrived in the middle of the night and we were led to our room. The hostel itself can be a bit intimidating, primarily because of all the scrawling on the doors but our room was situated on a quiet wing of the hostel although as we were led to our room were overheard lots of rowdy groups. The location...

Do not go there with small children, the place is doggy, and dangerous. Even my 15y old son was scared go toilet alone in the night as he was approached by some wierdo when going to shower in his own / be aware showers are shared/. I do not know how to comment it more, I would not recommend it...

Extremely weird hostel, kind of feels like an asylum with the long corridors and bizarre rooms. Staff were friendly enough and moved us into a different room swiftly after we realised our door didn't lock properly. Only thing is they moved another party in the old room straight after us. Rooms were large but dusty and in need of a...

Went here for our first stop of our interailing experience. Didnt think the hostel was the worst we have ever been too. However, room was very dusty, old and very dirty. The reception were very helpful with all the question i asked About the city. Good for teenagers or young adults who are travelling on a very tight budget.

Like an immigration portal to even check in. Fairly friendly staff, wifi is dodgy but can work sometimes. The street it is on is what lets it down. Its on a loud, fairly busy street that never doesnt have a loud car racing down it or a bin lorry driving past at 2 oclock in the morning. However if you...

...it is always the question of what you are expecting to find. If you search for a comfortable stay with your wife or family maybe Jednota is not the right place for you. If on the other hand you search for a cheap place to sleep on a trip with your drinking buddies, and have no further expectations than a...

Staff was friendly and location was perfect!! Next to the main railway station and only 10-15 min walk to the old town square, national museum etc. You don't need to use trams/buses at all. Our room and the bathrooms were clean, only showers' floors would have needed a bit cleaning. Great place to spend couple of nights! Very good hostel...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
