Great hotel, location, location!!! Things I wished I knew before staying there: Stairs, lots of stairs, but I'm in better shape now so I'll consider it a positive. Also, there is no driving in the square the hotel is located, so if you have several bags and they are heavy and it's raining, it's a difficult to get there. Also... More

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our junior suite was large, airy and very modern whilst still retaining an olde worlde charm . A hearty breakfast (ordered the night before) was served each morning in our room, at a time to suit us. Double windows enabled us to look out on the square with it's... More

We stayed for four nights the bathrooms are really well done - definately 5 star. The rooms were not decorated well -they need professional help. The position is excellent and the rooms quiet. All of the staff are most helpful and charming.

This hotel is in the best location in a city that we have ever stayed. The room was amazing. We got a family room looking out on the square. I was very surprised on how quiet the room was even in the evening when there were lots of people outside. The hardest part of this hotel is finding it as... More

This historic hotel has modern facilities without losing the old ambience. The staff is friendly at the desk and in the restaurant, and they quickly get to know you. The food is superb, as is the dining atmosphere, both outside and in the historic basement, where there is excellent live music nightly. The hotel is located perfectly in the square,... More

The location is the best, but some nights it´s hard to sleep because of the lively night life. Our Junior Suite was the best in Prag, and the staff are very helpfull and polite. Breakfast is a two star average though the service is great. I do recommend the hotel afterall !!

Hi Thank you for your review. We have just recently changed the set up of the breakfasts from the cafe to a more romantic way of serving freshly made breakfast on order to your room at no extra cost. We also have a small summer terrace in the courtyard of the hotel, where you may too sit and have your... More

We stayed at the Old town Square Hotel for four nights in mid April 2014. From our arrival until our departure the hotel staff were so very welcoming, helpful and simply great at their job. The hotel itself is perfectly positioned literally on the main square. You could not hope for a better position, with many rooms looking out onto... More

This hotel is perfectly situated overlooking the square, the staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are 'wow' and the lady who serves breakfast is lovely. It is centrally positioned for you to walk easily to meet tour guides in the square taxis are just the other side of the square.

We booked our room through booking.com and on arrival there was a misunderstanding with the hotel and the booking price. The staff apologised and honoured the price without question. So to go from annoyed worried tired tourist to super relaxed and happy in two minutes was a great example of how the staff excel themselves here in this hotel. The... More

We are just finishing up a three night stay. This is a wonderful small hotel. The room is huge and nicely appointed. The bathroom is wonderful. Our view of the old town square is spectacular! Breakfast is fine and the staff at the hotel is polite and accommodating. We have stayed elsewhere in Prague before, but would definitely stay here... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
