Location is virtually next to the Charles Bridge, which makes it perfect for sightseeing. The hotel is an oasis of luxury and quiet in the crazy tourist town. We had a junior suite, which meant a lovely space with its own little table and chairs on the balcony facing the interior courtyard. We were initially disappointed not to have a...

Pachtuv Palace is a remodeled residence of a former nobleman. The elegance of this hotel definitely lived up to this heritage. The reception area is light-filled and renovated to resemble an art gallery with art works tastefully arranged throughout. I booked a junior suite through expedia and was immediately upgraded to a deluxe suite upon arrival by the friendly staff....

My husband and I just came back from a full week in Prague. We stayed at the Pachtuv Palace, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect hotel in an amazing city! The hotel itself is outstanding with great history, including the fact that Mozart stayed there. You will not find a more gorgeous and historical hotel in the...

We recently came back from 4 nights at the Mamaison Suite Hotel Pachtuv Palace Prague. The location cannot be beat. It is in the old town but away from the touristy part. It is minutes away from the Charles Bridge. We were given a huge room with a drawing room with gorgeous views of the River and a separate bedroom,...

In our recent tour of Eastern European cities, we used TripAdvisor to select our hotels, it was always a balance of picking hotels based on ratings, price and location. We chose the Pachtuv for Prague after much thought and because of its location near the Charles Bridge. When we got there we didn't realize how well located the hotel really...

Beautiful place, excellent service and walk to everywhere. Only regret is not eating at the restaurant. I highly recommend the car service to and from the airport. The staff was extremely helpful in all our requests.

Could have asked for a more perfect location. The Jr Suite was HUGE! The living area was twice the size of a normal bedroom, then there was the bedroom as well. Very nicely appointed, clean, comfortable and accommodating. The garden areas were very nice. The staff was verry attentive from the moment we arrived right up til the driver dropped...

We just returned from a week's stay at Mamaison Pachtuv Palace, my husband and I and our two little girls, 6 and 8 years old. We cannot say enough wonderful things about the hotel and its staff - and both my husband and I travel frequently for work and stay in 4 -5 star hotels. The hotel itself is charming,...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
