We had a great stay at Miss Sophie's! We were greated in our room with a lovely hand written note and gift basket (the secco didn't last long!). The rooms are fantastic and very tastefully decorated. If you still want to hang out in the hostel and meet people you can. It's a nice 20 minute walk into the old...

I absolutely loved this hotel! My friend and I had travelled to Prague for her 30th Birthday and she was the one who discovered this little gem. It's down a small cobbled street about a 20 min walk away from all the sights, and I can honestly say I've never slept so well on a city break. I found it...

The receptionist Reuven was very helpful and nice. The breakfast had good value for money. The only problem was the shower who didn't have a normal water pressure. You can easily walk from the hotel to any spot in the old city. If you have some time there are two escape rooms very close to the hotel, just ask the...

We were greeted by very friendly staff and were pleasantly surprised by the welcome hamper waiting for us in the room. Its a boutique hotel with some pretty charming decor, with its large windows and dainty little touches. Its not far from a metro stop and about 10-12 mins walking distance from Wenceslas square and another ten minutes from the...

A 15 minute walk away from the Old Town, Miss Sophie's Hotel was a perfect choice for us. The staff were really friendly, and the basic room was very clean & comfortable with free wi-fi. Breakfast is taken across the small street at Miss Sophie's Hostel, and was excellent value. There is a tram stop very close by, which connects...

This is a fantastic location and hotel. The staff is super friendly -- they showed us a map of the city, answered all our questions, and even provided a gift basket with the room with champagne and chocolate. The rooms are also very stylish and the beds are comfortable. There is breakfast served across the street at the hostel. Easy...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
