We were a group of 3 traveling, and reserved the top floor apartment. The location was wonderful! The front desk was very helpful, we didn't have linens for the pull out couch when we first arrived, and he quickly came to assist with that. No breakfast included, but they do offer it at the hostel they also run across the...

We loved the location of The Residence Karlova. It's just a minutes walk from The Old Town Square. The 3 bedroom apartment is enormous, offering plenty of space for our family of five. Had it not been marketed as a luxury apartment, we would've been satisfied with our choice. The furnishings fall far short of the standard expected from a luxury...

We booked this apartment for 1 week at the beginning. Then, 3 days before arriving we canceled our reservation because we can only come for 3 days. We contact the owner about our impediment as stated in the policy and we pay the deposit fees. When we arrived, the owner charged us with the bill of 1 week of reservation....

We spend five nights at the Karlova Apartments and would like to share our experience with Trip Advisor readers. We planned a trip to Prague to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. We wanted it to be memorable. We requested an apartment with a terrace and were offered apt. 42 at an extra cost. After viewing the apartment on their website,...

The only good thing about this place is its location. Take a right out the door and in a few minutes you're in the square. Take a left and in a few minutes and you're at the Charles Bridge. We rented the 4th floor apartment. There was no lift so we had to walk 76 steps to get to the...

Dear madam/sir, I just would like to react on your review on about the thing with you consider as "overcharge" and would like to make it clear once again so as we did on your arrival that it was a problem about number of persons which you stated in the booking form as 3, however in the end you came...

Last month we (me and my boyfriend) came back from our autumn holiday in Prague and it was wonderful. I can highly recommend it! But what I want to recommend you especially is the accommodation - we stayed in Karlova Apartments that are located in narrow medieval Karlova street a few steps from Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. That...

Karlova apartments are very centrally located, nicely decorated and for the most part contain all you would want. We were worried about the noise, given that it is on a main thoroughfare. However, the windows are triple glazed so as long as they are shut the noise is acceptable at night. There is a fan and the ceilings are high...

We went to Prague in September and had a fantastic time. The city is really beutiful and the beer tasted as good as described. The city is perfect for a long weekend as we stayed and there is plenty to see and do including eating the traditional czech food (which is quite heavy) and drinking the good beer. We stayed...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
