Good location central to tourist attractions and shopping, very friendly staff, the room was comfortable and clean. There was complimentary coffee, tea and wine in the lobby at all times, plus a substantial breakfast buffet in the morning. Would definitely stay there again!

Situated in the heart of the old town, this is a pure gem of a hotel, owned and run by the sixth generation of the same family. It was truly exquisite, excellent service, the most friendly staff I have come across with so many homely touches, including free tea, coffee and wine. It was a favourite watering hole of Kafka...

We had a wonderful stay this past October at Hotel Hastal. This is a small, family owned hotel on a quiet block just a 7 minute walk from the square. The staff is friendly and very, very helpful. There are many really good restaurants within a short walk and all of the sights we wanted to see were also within...

Just got back from Prague and stayed at the Hastel hotel this is about 15 minute walk to the square walking at a steady pace. The hotel was clean and staff very friendly, especially the young man on the desk very helpful well dressed and smiled, The only down side is there is not a lot of room to have...

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it was in such a good location. It was in walking distance to everything, a few minutes from the square. The room was lovely with a minibar and snacks, the bathroom was clean and really good water pressure. The staff were lovely and helpful and the breakfast had lots of variety!...

Great family owned hotel. Perfect location. Clean and newly refurbished. Very nice breakfast. Walking distance from any desirable spot in the historical center. 40 min from the airport by public transport. Recomend it.

Room was very clean and reasonably comfortable. The best thing about the hotel is its location. Staff could be a bit friendlier. Breakfast was mediocre and it is not ideal to have to toddle downstairs to the lobby in your pyjamas if you want to make a cup of coffee. It should be in the room.

We spent four nights here in February. It's a family run hotel, not part of a chain, so it has lots of character and history-Einstein stayed here in the thirties! The staff and family are very welcoming. They arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport, about a 25 minute journey. On our first night we asked...

I've stayed here 3 times now, and it's been perfect every time. Really nice cozy hotel within a few minutes walk to old town. Fantastic value for money. Rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Staff are super helpful. Will also stay here when I visit.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
