just back from a 3 night stay, couldnt have been better. We were given exactly the room we required, a basic double but it was more than basic. Lovely large comfy bed, view of the roof tops, very cosy, lovely and warm especially on a cold drab day. Mini bar was very well stocked and resonably priced. Toiletries provided ever...

I stayed recently at the family owned Hastal hotel and i would recommend this hotel to family and friends. And it was actually through a friend recommending the hotel to myself after my friend stayed there. The location is handy to the old town square and restaurants. The staff were friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.

We spent a couple nights at Hotel Hastal as members of a tour during June, 2014. The location is wonderful, in the middle of Old Town, with lots of cobblestone, neighborhood plazas, ambience and, of course, proximity to historical jewels. The hotel itself is reminiscent of imperial times (I forgot how old Hotel Hastal is) with plush drapes and thick...

As a family party of four, we returned once again to the Hotel Hastal in old Prague to celebrate s parent's 70th birthday. As before, we found the hotel to be absolutely spotless, extremely friendly with the staff & management always willing to be helpful. All the staff speak perfect English. Each day, we were asked by Patrick, the managing...

We arrived at night minus one suitcase (Thank you Czek Air). They provided us a good room and offered us the balcony room , when it became available the next day. Meanwhile, they helped us follow up with the airline until the missing bag arrived the next evening. The breakfast was plentiful, and complementary wine is available in the evening...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
