The food is the best. The service great. The prices are reasonable, better than expected considering the best location in the Old Town, the the brilliant quality. Our group booked ahead so we got the good seats in the al fresco section, which is the very best place to view the astronomical clock in all of Prague. We lingered for... More

The hotel is very central for the Old Town and near to the Charles Bridge and the castle. The rooms are comfortable with antique furniture and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is excellent. We would stay again.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and we very pleased. Centrally located and walking distance to many tourist hotspots. We stayed in the older part with no elevator and that was fine. We did change rooms after the first night as we overlooked a side street with lots of garbage bins, food delivery and walking traffic to an... More

To be frank, I didn't have night expectations of Eastern Europe tourism but the staff at the Grand Hotel Praha were the best we'd had in seven weeks travel from Singapore through London, Paris, Berlin, Krakow and Belgium. Staff were extremely professional and very keen to link us with services that would be helpful. Room was lovely (quite literally facing... More

We spent 6 nights at this hotel and were very pleased. The location is right in Old Town, facing the main square. (TIP: A room facing the square might be noisy, so request a room at the back. That's what we did and it was very quiet.) All-you-can-eat breakfast in their beautiful Cafe Mozart, a friendly, helpful staff (especially Martin... More

The hotel is in the center of the Old Town, short walks to famous landmarks, stores, and restaurants. I could see the astronomical clock from the dining room window. Tyn and St Nicholas Churches are right at the corner too. Breakfasts were self-serve buffet style with quite a few choices, so as hot and cold beverages. The elevator and staircase... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
