My friends and I (all 18) visited Prague as part of our European tour, and the Hostel Prague Tyn was where we bunkered down when visiting this beautiful city. First and foremost, the location of the hostel must be earmarked as its best feature; no more than few steps away from the Old Town Square (the main hub of eating,...

We were very impressed by the Hostel Tyn, its decor is modern and welcoming. The rooms are spacious enough with big windows as it does get quite warm. Towels and shower gel etc. can be requsted from the reception. The only thing that I didn't like was the stairs, but as we were leaving we noticed the elevator! The staff...

It was my second time in that place. The staff is really helpful. Place is great located , 5 minutes from the market square. You can get towel and hair dryer from the reception. For breakfast you will get sandwich with ham and cheese and in the kitchen you will find coffee, tea, orange juice and 2 types of cereals....

This hostel was average but it a really good location. They had baguettes but very little salad or meat. In fact, only 1/3 of each ingredient could be seen on the bun. Photos as well can be seen. Apart from that the staff were quite nice.

After staying at what i consider the best hostel in Krakow (Greg and Tom's Home hostel), this hostel was a big disappointment and the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. I agree with other feedback about the rude staff and noise levels On arrival told I couldn't pay on card, and I had to get cash in local currency....

Prime location, a 5 minute walk, if that, to the main square. Super helpful and friendly staff. Beds were made for us, which is a luxury in hostels. Rooms had lockers in which were free to use, and you do not need your own padlocks for. The bathroom facilities, whilst shared between a lot of people, were of the highest...

The location is EXCELLENT and the rooms and facilities were very clean. The staff was helpful and accommodating and the prices were great for a school group. The only mediocre thing was the breakfast - very sparse.

Had a good stay at this modern and well kept hostel! Bathrooms are the best I have seen when travelling and staying in hostels. The packed sandwich provided for lunch is a great idea and much appreciated for the cheap backpacker. The only downside is the rather disappointing breakfast spread!

Stayed in Prague for a couple of days durring our interrail through Europe. Over all a good hostel with excellent location with the Old town square just around the corner. Fresh, clean and good staff. A small breakfast included.

The running of this hostel was pretty disorganized- they split up our group without consulting us, putting two girls in another hostel down the street due to water damage in this hostel. Those two felt so uncomfortable there that they were forced to leave and get a hotel. Then they split me and my friend up between two different rooms...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
