We had a great 4 night stay at the Red Chair Hotel in early May. The location of the hotel can't be beat -- it's on a quiet street just a few blocks from the Old Town Square. Breakfast is included in the price and consists mostly of breads, jams, cereal, yogurt, cheese, meat slices, and coffee and juices. We...

I stayed at the Red Chair Hotel in Prague for a weekend. First thing to note is that location is excellent. Walking distance to all the great sites of Prague, and yet quiet at night. My room was very spacious and clean. Only problem was that I had to go up the stairs 3 floors. But it was not a...

I have found information about the Red Chair Hotel on the web and I am totally happy for this choice for my first experience in Prague. The hotel is located in the narrow streets of Staré Město close to the Charles Bridge, a perfect position to visit Prague by walk. All staff members at the reception have been extremely professional,...

Brilliant short stay. We used the airport pickup service, well worth booking this. The access to the hotel was down a narrow street and when we arrived we treated to a BBC film crew filming their latest adaptation of the Three Musketeers. The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us tips as to where to go and how to...

The desk is attended 24 hrs with staff who have good English and are eager to help with anything that arises. Special praise is due Gabriela...

I was refered by a friend who stayed at this hotel and I am so glad I followed her recommendation. Starting with the airport pickup (which I highly recommend), followed by the hospitality of the staff and the central location, this was a right pick for my first time in Prague!

Spent 3 nights here the weekend before Easter and are so glad we picked Red Chair rather than a larger hotel. The location is spot on being in the Old Town between Old Town Square and Charles Bridge, but in a quiet street. I took earplugs as I'm a light sleeper but I didn't need them it was so quiet...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
