Having trimmed down my search using Trip Adviser I came to the Savic as the best for cost, quality and location and I wasn't disappointed. I went with my wife and another couple and it was excellent. Very close to the town square, within walking distance of the castle, new town and hundreds of shops and restaurants - great location....

I have just returned from this hotel on a trip for my husbands 50th birthday. We were delighted with the care and thought put in to helping us to enjoy our stay. The rooms are great and the reception staff could not have been more helpful responding to requests. The location of the hotel is perfect for seeing all the...

Stayed at the Savic 8th-11th December. We were in room 208 and our friends in 207. Both rooms were gorgeous, however 208 was really special, very large, four poster bed and a lovely clean marble bathroom. Everything about the hotel was 1st class. The check in was hassle free and fast and we all received a welcome drink. The breakfasts...

Stayed here for 4 nights whilst in town for the Christmas Markets. An excellent hotel, full of character and about a 2 minute walk from both Charles Bridge and the Main Square - a perfect location and Prague is such a compact city we didn't actually have to use any public transport. A welcome drink at check-in is a nice...

Just back from a long weekend here. The hotel is really lovely in every way. It's central to the old town and just a short walk to metro/tram/bus stations. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had one of the standard rooms on the 4th floor but it was charming, with beams, and a wonderful bathroom. The bed was quite...

Everything about my stay in this hotel was fantastic. On arrival you get a welcome drink and the hotel staff take some time to talk about the area and sights that you can see, giving you some useful handouts. The hotel location is perfect just a couple of minutes walk from old town square. The hotel building itself is fantastic...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
