I cant think of a single thing that I didnt like about the ICON hotel. Great Location, just walking distance to most main touristy places, loads of public transport few steps from the hotel. Really great Spa where the therapist was really good and yet value for money. The all day breakfast was a lifesaver the day after a night...

Excellent place to stay in Prague - very impressed with the delicious restaurant/bar food, free glass of wine/beer with dinner, free computer/internet access in the bar, comfy beds, friendly staff and housekeeping, breakfast included was absolutely excellent - a choice of both a cold buffet and hot food, all round a very nice place to stay. The only thing would...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and couldn't fault the hotel. Clean, modern, comfortable rooms. Excellent customer service. Great breakfast included. Small and personable boutique hotel that is a little gem. Only negative was the smell of smoke that was always in our bathroom. By closing the door to this we confined the smokiness to just the...

Nice stylish hotel. Smallish like most prague hotels. very trendy contemporary furniture. Strange they had no clock in room. They also have tried to charge me for breakfast I noticed on my bank statement. 33.00. I thought it was a free buffett? Location is good. short walk to center but off enough so it's quieter. Even if your fat and...

We chose this hotel because of all its positive reviews on tripadvisor. Strangely, since we started reading reviews in December 2010 the hotel droped from rank 13 to 15 due to a few lower (4/5) rankings. We can only confirm all the good points other reviews have already noted: Excellent location, really only minutes from everywhere, furthest we walked was...

Throughly enjoyed our stay at the Icon Hotel in late January. The hotel is a funky boutique property located in New Town, just a block from Weceslas Square. Old Town is just a few blocks away as are almost all of the major sights and attractions. The staff was great and readily available to assist with needs. Hotel was very...

Hotel is perfect for a weekend away, or more. Staff were really helpful (booked us on a tour to Kutna Hora on the Sunday), the breakfast is ideal (not a buffet so you over-eat), beds are possibly the most comfortable ever, and the hotel is located within easy walking distance of the old town, Charles Bridge, and everything really. I...

Pros: * The location is excellent, right in the middle of the new town area which is within walking distance to all the main attractions and close to the Mustek underground station so you don't have to go far with your bags. There are a few restaurants in the same street and the Czech pub / restaurant across the road...

We arrived early, around noon, from overnight travel. The front desk was most understanding and allowed early check in. We'd booked our stay directly with the hotel and Martina in Reservations was most accommodating and responsive. The hotel was quiet, well located in New Town and clean. Complimentary breakfast was excellent and included made to order eggs. Son and husband...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
