I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. Welcomed with a drink and a personal advice session about things to do and see in Prague whilst someone took our bag to the room. The hotel is gorgeous - beautifully fitted out old building in the heart of the old town. The receptionist was lovely - always friendly and...

Staff are so friendly. Location is perfect. Walking distance from every main landmark and shopping street. Breakfast is a nice set up. And on the outside it looks like a mini Grand Budapest Hotel. 5/5

My wife and recently completed our stay in Residence Agnes over Christmas. I have to stay that Residence Agnes was the best accommodation experience we had during our entire Christmas trip. It was an awesome stay. It felt like home. The service they had got it spot on. They knew how to make you feel comfortable and at home from the very minute you walked in. Attention to detail. Staff was superb. We will stay there every time we visit Prague and would recommend them to anyone visiting Prague.

My family and I stayed in this fabulous hotel for our 4 day stay in Prague. It certainly lived up to all the amazing reviews and more. The hotel is situated most conveniently close to all the important historical sites in the Centre of old Prague. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel made special accommodation for us given...

We stated our preferences , booked our room on line and promptly received information about the hotel and Prague. When our plane arrived , Jerry was waiting for us at the airport and transported us comfortably and safely to the hotel. We were greeted and treated as honored guests, welcomed and invited into the reception/ breakfast area and offered coffee,...

We stayed for four nights on honeymoon in December 2016. Prague at Christmas time is a magical place, and the friendly staff at Agnes help you to have the best time possible. Most of what we did was on their good recommendation. The hotel is on a quiet street near the Old Town Square. It is a 4-floor building with...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Residence Agnes**** is located in the heart of charming Old Town, just a few steps from Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the Jewish Quarter of Josefov containing preserved synagogues that attract tourists from around the world; it is also close to the attractive Palladium shopping centre. Due to its location, the residence is the ideal base for your visit to Prague – whether for a shopping spree, or to visit cultural and historical sites. The historical Residence Agnes building is located in one of the oldest parts of Old Prague which is listed by UNESCO. The first mention of the building dates back to 1369, when it was bought by Matyas for “two three-scores of groschens”. Residence Agnes underwent extensive reconstruction in January and February 2012, when the building was transformed into a four-star air-conditioned hotel offering an excellent service and pleasant atmosphere. ... more   less
