The location is very good, just 10 min. walk from the Astrological Clock and 30 Min. from the Charles bridge. I found the hotel very good, the staff was very helpful and the breakfast very hearty. The problem I found was with the room, sure it is very spacious, the bed great, but the details, thats the problem. Seems like...

Stayed at residence bene for 3 nights. Ok, the hotel comfort isnt the greatest, but you get good value for the small price you pay. The location is genius, only 5 minuts walk to old town square. There are also a good variety of restaurants and pubs nearby. The hotel is wall-to-wall with Prague beer museum, a pub that specialises...

The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the beautiful old town of Prague. And that is about all that was good about it. The room was very disappointing: all surfaces were very dusty (table, bed side tables, bed's head board...), there were cracks on the entire wall, the bathroom was in very poor conditions and dirty, the shower...

I stayed at Residence Bene for 2 weeks while I attended a writing workshop. I couldn't have been more pleased! The hotel is in a great location, but more importantly, the staff is so friendly! In my 2 weeks, I must have seen at least 5 different people at the front desk; each one was pleasant and helpful. The hotel...

Stayed in Prague for one night as part of a trip to Austria - As we were flying in late and leaving early, we were looking for somewhere for a few hours sleep and a shower, so this place fitted the bill! All very basic but large rooms, and in a good central location, with parking nearby (at extra cost)...

I stayed there for 4 nights, and it was 4 nights too many. The hotel is very old, and they are trying to convert some of the rooms, which means guys with buckets of bricks roam the hallways and front entrance. The room I got upon check in was on the top floor, and the window view was to scaffolding...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
