We booked this hotel for a sporting event due to the reasonable price and location. The location is good, near the prom where you can walk easily to the main beach area, about 15 mins. It’s in a nice part of the city, close to a country park and some excellent restaurants, including the Greek one attached to the hotel. The hotel looks like an old Eastern Block naval base and still features a lot of naval decor in reception and on each floor. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and had enough English to help us which was great, as there were very few British visitors to the resort (also great!). The breakfast was good but the the breakfast room was small and smelled musty. The hotel reception and main areas were clean but dark. The room decor depended on where you were. We had a refurbed room but our friends had a hideously decorated old room. However theirs was far more airy and cool than ours which was like a sauna during the hotter days. Our room was clean when we got there though a bit small, bed were comfortable and we had a nice bathroom, though getting in and out of the shower was tricky due to a narrow door next to the toilet and a big step up into the shower. My main issue with this hotel was the lack of daily maid service -we were there for 5 nights and didn’t get it cleaned once. We had clean towels on day 4 when requested and the tiny bin was emptied, yet they left the huge bag of rubbish I’d put ready to go. I had to go and ask for more toilet roll. By that stage the sheets, carpet. and bathroom needed cleaning but it wasn’t done. As a hotel guest I would expect a better more regular room cleaning service. If we had just been there for two nights it wouldn’t have been an issue but not for the five were there. We loved Gdynia, this was the second year we had been for the Ironman and we have booked to come again next year, but won’t be staying in this hotel.

Hotel boosts exceptional location. good breakfasts, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. It is not by any means luxuries, but it could easily be with some updates because of its prime real-estate. You can enjoy rooms with ocean view and it is located steps from seaside boulevard for easy morning exercise and evening walk. Steps from Music Theater as well. If one eat breakfasts you can have solid one with good variety of fresh food.

We went there with our son last summer. The rooms are (cheaper)before and(more expensive) after renovation.Because our visit was not planned we got the worse room.Obscure bathroom and broken door which didn't lock. The view outstanding as the hotel is situated very close to the bay and main boardwalk.Marine old-fashioned decor.Good breakfast.

The hotel has a fantastic feel like everything is from PRL (old communist Polish republic) which I can only remember from history books and pictures. To be honest, I was not bothered at all as for me having a green toilet, old lights, doors and carpets was part of the experience. I even did not care that there was cold water in the shower - I took it with a smile on my face screaminig with excitement!
