This hotel is good for a night or two but if you stand for quality then better look elsewhere. The bathroom in my room looked like it hadn’t been renovated since 1990. Worn out, with nasty, old hangers and railings , cracked walls. The room was OK but I had to look real heard to find a power outlet near the desk to charge my laptop. It was … behind the TV. Breakfast was decent but you have to know that butter is to be taken from a special dispenser machine! I also liked the ironing room on the 9th floor with ironing-motivating posters on the wall. There was also an interesting mini photo gallery in the lobby that presented the history of the hotel since its inauguration in 1980.

Convenient location, comfortable sleep and stay. We visited a nearby musical theater. Even in times of pandemy, this is an enjoyable experience, especially combined with the stay at this very nice hotel offering ample rooms and spectacular views.

The hotel broadly speaking was a fairly pleasant place to be. It is only a 5-10 min walk from the beach and a 15 min walk to the main station. I went with my mum for a few days and the food at breakfast was of a good quality and the room itself was solid. I didn't get a chance to go to the swimming pool as we spent most of our time in Gdynia or Gdansk. My mum was able to get another pillow when she asked at the reception so the staff are very helpful. I was a little surprised that BBC News wasn't on the channels in my TV's room as it seems to be a commonplace for hotels and I quite like having a familiar news source to watch in the evenings. Apart from that, I was fairly happy with my experience and would visit again.

Recently booked a stay here to attend the Opener festival, I had an initial booking for 4 days, however I cancelled as I needed to change the booking details. Through cancelling and re-booking, I accidentally booked for June instead of July.

I didn't realise this had happened, until I randomly saw a charge on my card statement for a nights worth of accomodation. No explanation, no warning, not even a courtesy welfare check or call.

After I emailed to try and rectify this issue, I was advised that no refund could be issued as it had affected their sales and revenue. This was despite the fact they have plenty of sold out weekends to come and being a loyal Gold Accor member.

Very disappointing service, especially for something that was a human error and a genuine error and oversight.

Dear Alex, We are sincerely sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced regarding your booking oversight. We deeply regret any dissatisfaction caused by the situation you encountered. At Hotel Mercure Gdynia Centrum, we value our guests' comfort and satisfaction, and it is disheartening to learn that your experience did not meet your expectations. Dear Wojciech, We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your stay regarding the accessibility of our bathrooms. Ensuring all guests' comfort is crucial to us, and we deeply apologize for any inconvenience you and your parents experienced. We are saddened by your suggestion that the team is not helpful. Almost all rooms in the hotel have bathtubs, showers are only available in the highest category rooms, which were completely sold out. Assigning a room for people with disabilities requires prior reservation with the reservation department. We did not have any ill will, only that the hotel was full and that is why we were unable to move you to another room. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will address this matter promptly. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the shortcomings you encountered. On behalf of the management and team of the Mercure Gdynia Centrum hotel, Patryk Adrych Guest Relations Manager Mercure Gdynia Centrum "Your haven in the heart of Gdynia".

January, Sunday. Charity concert at the Musical Theater. There are no parking spaces in the area (this is the result of the current management of the fishing village which pretends to be a city), we leave the car in the most expensive parking lot in the area, i.e. the parking lot managed by Hotel Mercury (the parking lot is not under the hotel itself, but on the side). Price PLN 15/hour. Parking lot not cleared of snow, mud and ice. The only new thing is a barrier with a parking ticket. Just 4 hours after the concert, the parking price was already PLN 75. There was a large group of concert guests - most of them from outside Gdynia - and tried to pay. Notice - cash only!!!! Many parkers run through mud and snow to the nearest ATM to get cash. Embarrassing!!!!! Fortunately, we don't have to come to this dusty city (Cash only) more often. The compliments on "rural Gdynia" from those waiting in the parking lot - priceless. If it's the same in the hotel as in the parking lot - I feel sorry for the hotel guests :)

Great location right by the seaside and main Gdynia attractions. Hotel is clean, family apartment is nice and spacious. Breakfast is good (ok, there is a 20 minute wait in the weekend, but this is due to Covid-19 restrictions and not hotel's fault), staff is friendly and helpful (helped to accommodate fridge in the room due to medical needs). Pool is basic but clean and water temperature was 29 deg. Celcius. Overall we enjoyed the stay very much.

Dear Simon, Thank you for your question and sorry for a delay in answering. We do have a swimming pool which is also available for other users, than hotel Guests, however it shouldn't be a problem with finding a space there, as it's real big sport pool. There is also two saunas and solarium. We kindly invite you to visit our Hotel.- Daiva Maciule, General Manager
