Detailed Reviews
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I was unsure about the quality given that it is only a 3 star however it was better than the 4 star hotel we stayed in for the remainder of our trip. We booked a room ro basically sleep in for a couple of hours having arrived from Gdansk airport at 2.00am. Reception staff were polite and efficient and checked us in quickly - they spoke English to myself and Polish to my partner. The hotel has been recently refurbished and is beautiful. Massive beds, shower and everything you could need in your room. We used the pool in the morning, which was lovely and clean. The sauna was turned off so we couldn't use it. The gym could be better equipped so we didn't use it. Breakfast was lovely, with lots to choose from. Overall, the only issue we had was with the limited car parking at the hotel. My partner complained and they let us park at the rear of the hotel - it was unclear about parking on the nearby streets and you cannot reserve a space. We will definitely return to this hotel!

Hotel is situated in quiet area, so we had a good night sleep. It is small hotel with perfect staff. Room was nice, clean and beds were comfortable. Wifi worked very well. Receptionist was very kind and helpful. We had little problem to find hotel. But finally was close to the railway station. Near hotel is bus station where is possible to catch many buses to the Port.

A really nice experience for us! This gem of a hotel was perfect. Great room, clean and everything felt new. The restaurant served an excellent breakfast (included) with hot and cold stuff, including Polish specialities. Had dinner as well in the restaurant, our cod and ribs tasted delicious.
The staff in the reception was very helpful, especially Monica who took us through the ordeal of ordering new tires for our car after a puncture. Not easy if you don't speak Polish, but she made several calls for us. What a relief!
When in Gdynia again, we'll certainly stay at Antares. Two stars is not enough Antares, it ought to have four!

+1
Duży atut hotelu to miły profesjonalny personel. Spędziłem tu 4 noce. Polecam.
A hotel with an intimate character but it does not lack anything you need to make your stay a pleasant one. During my stay in May 2019, the hotel was in the final stage of expansion, which will make it bigger and will have a swimming pool and sauna. The big advantage of the hotel is the nice professional staff. I spent 4 nights here. I would recommend.

It is a small and lovely hotel situated in quiet neighborhood so we had a good night sleep. Rooms were clean and cozy. Bathroom is bigger than in hotels we have prevoiusly been. Breakfast is ok, there is choice for everyone.
We liked fast check in, check out and great communication with reception staff. If we ever come to Gdynia,we will stay in again.
Greetings from Croatia!

Price is quite low, comfort of the room was decent, the food was mediocre. Short, yet accurate description. It is quite far away of the city centre but the bus stop is located just a few hundred metres away. And there is an infamous favela-like district located nearby.

Positive:
Located in a quiet area.
Although it's not in the city centre it is situated 3 min walk from the bus stop which connects to all areas of Gdynia.
Negative:
Bed wasn't really comfortable and also rather small.
Hardly any vegetarian options in the cafe bar and vegans are pretty much forgotten.

I booked through the hotel website and stayed there for 6 nights in September 2014.
From Airport, I took a taxi that cost 111 PLN by meter (return trip was only 99 Pln). Trip is about 30mins.
The unassuming hotel is located in a nice quiet residential area.
I requested for a single room but it came with 2 single beds. The room is clean and nice- it feels more like staying in someone's house as oppose to a hotel room. THe hotel exudes an atmosphere of a friendly country inn - the staff is very very helpful eventhough with limited english. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a good variety of cold cuts, cheese, pastries and fruits. I had so much that I had to skipped lunch!
On the first day, i ask for directions to the train station thinking that it was the most convenient way to travel into the city - it was a 15-20mins walk.
The next day, I found out that it was better to take the bust. From the hotel, it is a 5min walk to the nearest bus stop and you can get to anywhere from there. Ask the reception to direct you to the bus stop.
Antares give me the warmth of a home away from home. I really enjoyed my stay there and wanted to share with others.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone anytime.

I spent there only 1 night before ship cruise from Gdynia to Karlskrona (Sweden). Hotel is located pretty close to the harbour (around 10 minutes by taxi which cost approx. 15 PLN).
The hotel is located on a small street, close to a bakery (very nice smell of fresh bread during the night ;-). Hotel has 2 types of rooms: old ones and renovated ones (ask for renovated ;-). It has only 2 stars - but it is even a little more than this. The reception girl was very nice and helpful. The room and bathroom are small but comfortable. Breakfast is fine - you shouldn't complain.

Stayed at hotel Antares for 2 months while working in Gydynia and it is very nice hotel to stay in, friendly staff and in quiet neighborhood. Little bit from centrum but okay if you have car or don't mind 5-10 minute bus ride.
