Detailed Reviews
We had booked three rooms for three nights being a family of 5. Though I had planned to visit Gdansk and was staying in Marriot hotels throughout our trip I booked this hotel little realising that it's about 23 mins cab ride to the old/new town of Gdansk. But we were indeed in for a pleasant surprise. It is a beach-facing hotel and the great part is its location and proximity to the various beachside cafes and restaurants. We did venture out to see the old and adjacent new town as well on one day. We enjoyed our stay at this Marriot which is comparably a smaller hotel with about 135 rooms odd. The breakfast was amazing.
The rooms are well furnished and it has a great spa with three pools and separate suana and steam rooms

Decided to spend Valentines Day at Marriott Sopot and it was the best decision. Hotel is very well prepared for all COVID recommendations, you feel safe here. We got excellent check in experience by Mr Marcin.
Room was clean and tidy. Definitely recommend to upgrade your room to sea view.
Despite COVID restriction breakfast buffet is very well organized, you don’t have feeling of any food item missing you used to have on the buffet.
You are getting a high level of attention from every employee including GM who is easily approachable and very friendly and helpful.
SPA facilities - excellent!
Highly recommended for your stay in Sopot!

Fab hotel in terms of facilities, modernness and cleanliness. Rooms were very cosy and spacey, and the whole hotel area gives a nice vibe. The roof top was pool and bar was fab, great with the 16+ limit for us travelling as adults with no children (especially since the spa downstairs was filled with children and felt more like an aqua park). The gym was small, but ok for a quick work out.
Very disappointing experience in the restaurant where they would not offer me gluten free pizza or pasta, in spite that I had called and checked about this before we ordered our stay. When I then commented I should get about lunch dish for the same price, the waiter used 15 minutes to come back with to us with the message that she would bring her manager. After another 15 minutes with nothing happening, we left and had lunch elsewhere.
Also, there where no allergi markings at breakfast, very disappointing at such a big and modern hotel.
Top location by the public beach and walk way along the beach, which is pleasant to use when walking into the centre for better restaurants than the hotel can offer.

Our stay started bed because we bought offer with breakfasts on booking but the hotel asked us to pay 600 zl extra per 3 breakfasts for 2! Later we found out polish football team will visit hotel and the whole stay lound works were going on next to the restaurant! Of corse hotel did not let us know that they plan such a noisy works. They even covered us sea view in the restaurant as u can see on pic. The worst was that they decided to cut all guests stay and asked us to check out earlier.. with no appologise nothing.. they do not care of customers as required for this prize. I dont recomment!

Dear Mrs Paulina, Thank you for taking time to share your opinion about your stay. We are extremely sorry that you had such a negative experience and we disappointed your expectations. All opinions of our guests are very important to us, the negative ones are even more valuable, as they are the best guidelines for improving the service and quality of the services we offer. Please be assured that all your comments have been forwarded to the appropriate departments. Our priority is the satisfaction and comfort of our guests, so we will make every effort to take lessons from any inconveniance situations for the future. Your reservation made on Booking.com was with no breakfasts. There was the information that You can add breakfasts for 85PLN/one breakfast/one person. Additional cost for extra ordered breakfasts was 510 PLN, due to the inforation shown on your booking confirmation. Our regular check-out time is 11 a. m. We could not extend it that day, but we also did not ask for an early check-out. Our request was only to check out by 11 a. m. Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience caused by the preparations for the group's arrival. Best Regards. Sopot Marriott Team.

I went to the Sopot Marriott in early winter, I'm sure it's even more beautiful and more things to do in the summer. It was not crowded at all and the pools and spa were easy to use too. Any guest can use the pool and hot tubs so if you're trying to avoid kids, go in the off season - I saw other reviewers say it impacted their relaxing spa experience.
I like the location on the beach, next to the main path into town, and a touch away from the touristy main square in Sopot (the Sheraton is located at the base of the pier and square if you want that location). My expectations for the restaurant weren't high, it's a hotel restaurant, not a destination restaurant and every thing was just fine. My spa treatment hit the spot; I had a tea in the relaxation room (waiting room), my therapist was good, and the front desk was helpful too (I wish I bought the amber infused cream when I had the chance!). My tip for other visitors is to get the sea view room in the winter (you probably spend less time in your room in the summer) because it made a big difference for my experience.
I gave the amenities an average rating because of the parking, there wasn't bell service, or room service while I was there.

So, I have being staying at this hotel on and off on multiple stays pre pandemic. Location is amazing, rooms good (but beginning to look their ten years).
My issue on this visit was the amount of up selling. First day in the spa, therapist said ‘would you like a face mask whilst getting your message, it’ll be an extra £££. Don’t want negotiations b4 a treatment, am here to relax.
Main issue for me (and I am not blaming the server here), was with dinner at the restaurant, we’d done lunch there earlier. I fancied a vodka, don’t drink the stuff usually, asked for recommendations and she came back with the most expensive European one. As in Poland, wanted a local one and explained, I had no clue. When my drink arrived I asked which one it was.. most expensive Poland brand.. didn’t understand that.
Please stop up selling, you missed out on us having another dinner and two lunches, felt really let down on this visit.

Had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at the Marriott Sopot.
Highlights of the hotel are: amazing spa and pools, great location by the beach and beach views, and professional and efficient service.
The hotel is nicely designed and modern. I stayed in the Sopot suite which was awesome. The suite was spacious and has many sittings area, together with 1.5 bathrooms. The only note here is there is no door or curtain to the bathrooms so friends traveling can be a little awkward. It was no problem for us though. Room was clean and well equipped with big TV, nesspresso machine, Chromecast. Bed was a little hard for my liking but I slept well.
The most amazing part is the spa. You can spend 2 3 hours here easily. There were 3 pools, one big enough for lap swim, 4 hot tubs with 2 outdoor which was great in the winter. There were also Finish sauna, steam room, hot room, and relaxing areas. One cool thing is that there are both clothed and clothing optional sauna areas with the same offerings of saunas. I had a massage and it was nice.
Breakfast was quite good. There was a big buffet and omelette on order. Food quality was good and service was nice and efficient.
The staff was very pleasant and professional to interact with. They delivered any requests promptly.
Location is by the Sopot beach so naturally the hotel is far from the city center of Gdanks. That was never an issue though because Uber and Bolt are plenty and only takes about $10 and 25 minutes to go to Gdanks old town. To go to Sopot, it’s $3 and 5 minutes driving. We walked to Sopot on the beach and that was an amazing 20 minutes.
All in all, I’m very happy with the stay and would definitely come back if I find myself back in Gdanks/Sopot.

Visited this hotel for the third time, this time with my two boys aged 10 and 13. First I can say is that on the way home both boys asked when we will come back. Our goal was just to come and swim, eat good and relax and everything was fulfilled. Both me and my older boy need to eat gluten free food and I must say that since I first visited Sopot 10 years ago the improvement is huge. We had the best glutenfree bread at breakfast ever (and I have eaten a lot of gluten free bread during the years), for the evening meal we also had served glutenfree hamburgers. Otherwise the spa was very good, warm pools, saunas etc., the room was clean and so on. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

1) Toilet stopped working. Called, but no one came. We use a waste basket full of water to flush it.
2) Fire alarm for 1.5 hours at 1:00AM. No communications about it.
3) Our comforter got wet. At 2:00 AM, we showed a comforter. The woman brought a small blanket, then a twin comforter. Then, after 1 hour, we got another comforter.
4) Air is so cold and dry that I have a sore throat. We sleep with the door open.
5) 43 PLN room delivery service fee for one 20 PLN beer.
6) Pool area looks like a 2-star hotel. No plants, no decoration, not organized. Small bar.
7) We went for breakfast, closed. We went for dinner, closed.
8) Rooms are tiny. I got a superior with a sea view. It's ridiculously low value compared to Sheraton and Grand Hotel.
9) Bathroom door is difficult to open. Slams closed.
10) I fell in the shower. There was only one bar to hold onto. I tried bracing against the wall, but the doors were half the shower.
11) The shower floods floor.
12) The bathroom looks very old and outdated.
13) Beach but most things to do are about 15 minute walk. Not great location.

Didn't expect a lot.
Hotel turned out to be a lovely surprise. My Marriott status was acknowledged with an upgrade.
Hotel is funky, right by the beach.
Breakfast is interesting. In addition to the standard international fayre they had local foods and even an help yourself smoothy maker.
I'd certainly return.

If you like to be a little bit far away from the crowd I will definitely choose Marriott Sopot. Arguments:
- great location away from crowded city Center
- you can always rent a electric scooter 🛴 or just walk (15-20 min by a walking path)
- just few seconds to be at the 🏖 beach
- fitness center, gaming room and swimming pool for kids
- adult swimming pool on the roof
- and great menu 🍒
Being there for a week Marriott is the winner and my recommendation ☀️
They're nodding their head, thinking "That's really good to know" or "I should do that too!" So thanks for sharing your thoughts, from us and all the people you're guiding.
Hi Amanda!
Yes, the family room will hold you and the young ones :)
I did not see an executive lounge at the hotel. This is more a spa type hotel for private stays.
