A very clean room, with our own shower and bathroom. Free wifi throughout (as with most of Poland) which was a nice touch. Friendly, funky staff who spoke very good English and were most helpful with any questions we had about tours etc. A fantastic location - around 5/6 minutes walk from the Bus/Train Station, through a lovely garden area....

I lived in a dorm with 12 beds in may 2012, there were only a few other guests beside from me (1,666 people in average). Beds are ok, toilet and shower nice and clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast was surprisingly good, compared with the low price! MAX value for money!

City Hostel in located right in the Market Square, inches away from shops (including a McDonalds and a KFC). We arrived around 11, and our room wasn't supposed to be ready until 2, however they swiftly sorted it out + allowed us to enter. Stayed in room 102, which had 3 beds + a wardrobe, there was also a shower...

City Hostel in Krakow is a fantastic, no frill hostel conveniently located near Old Town - close enough to the actions but away from drunken tourists and loud noises. The staff is absolutely delightful, helpful, and very accommodating to all our needs. We originally only booked for one night at this hostel but immediately decided to stay at this place...

Than 3 days before arrival i get e-mail from Manager that she canceled my booking because they didn't get prepayment. I was like - what the hell? The hotel is located within the old city walls and just 10 minutes from Krakow Glowny Station. The guests are mainly British, Poles and Spaniards. Double room which I occupied was small and had only basic equipment like comfortable new beds, chairs, a table and a wardrobe, and also had a washbasin and a shower. There was no radio or...

This hostel was good, we had a 6 bed private room, which had its own en-suite shower, with toilet in the corridor. Although I can't understand why if you make the effort to put a shower in the room, why not a toilet as well? But oh well, both shower and toilet were clean. The room itself was clean too,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The City Hostel is a place designed for those who want to discover Krakow in their own, special way. We have converted a 19th century historical tenement in the centre of the Old Town into a meeting place for people from all over the world. In doing this we have tried to retain the warm atmosphere of the historical interiors. The City Hostel reflects Krakow's climate perfectly: only here does youthful energy meet tradition to create a spicy mix of modernity and history. At our place, you can plan your tour of the intriguing corners of the city and rest after discovering the charms of famous Krakow clubs all night. ... more   less
