#1 of 205 Speciality lodging in Karpacz
Samotnia is one of the oldest mountain refuges in Poland. It is famous for its tourist-friendly atmosphere, wooden interiors and home-made dishes. It is located within the Karkonosze National Park, the reason a tourist can reach Samotnia only on foot. Hikers may leave their cars at a secure car park in Karpacz at, for instance, Hotel Sadyba. The refuge is situated halfway between Karpacz and Mt. Snieżka.Samotnia is a property belonging to the Polish Country Lovers' Association (PTTK). It has 50 beds and offers both full- and half-board. It is a great place for wedding receptions, post-graduate meetings, domestic celebrations as well as cultural and sporting competitions. Samotnia Refuge is also an excellent starting point for hiking atop Mt. Lnieżka or to the Czech refuges and picturesque Great Pond (Wielki Staw).

This is more beautiful spot and tranquil than Morskie Oko in the Tatra mountains. The mountain shelter has its style and climate. This is really exceptional place with amassing view on rock caldron and Sniezka pick. The walking routs to it are not difficult and very picturesque. Prices are reasonable but quality of food could be better – they salt, pepper and herbs.

When u are climbing the mountain and is snowing you will be more than happy to stay there for a nice glue wine and a small rest :) Nice & cosy and friendly atmosphere. Definitely a place to stop on a way to the top of Sniezka.

It was all said so I can only confirm: great food for low price. You won't get a lobster but those things are rather to give you a taste of "home" at very isolated place. Very and surprisingly very clean place. Kids were loving it.

One of my favourite places around Karpacz, winter or summer, it's one of the most picturesque places in Karkonosze. When we lived in the area for a couple of months I'd go up there just to have their pancakes and sit outside for a bit enjoying the view :) A must see if you're a tourist.
