Martin is an exceptional hotel host! The Duval rooms are spacious, meticulously kept and are very convenient to old town entry. Martin was most helpful and fun to talk with. Old town has large open plazas with small shops. We liked walking to the parks and ethnographic museum one day. Enjoy your stay!

Right in the Old Town, spacious apartments, extremely clean and Martin is very hospitable & helpful. The only reason I didn't rate it a five is because the pillows were a bit too small & lumpy for me. To be fair I'm sure Martin would have given me alternatives if I'd asked. Also, wifi was a bit intermittent. Again, they... More

We stayed in Room 2. Which was huge, about 20' by 20'. Very clean and bright. The bathroom was new. Completely tiled with all the necessary fixtures, shower, toilet, sink and bidet toilet. We felt very secure because of the pass key locking. Great location about 150 feet from the Barbicon and the main restaurant square. Martin, the manager was... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderful. We stayed in the Polish Room and I highly recommend it. I thought it was very quiet (compared to Krakow) and very safe/secure. You get a special key that 1) lets you into the building 2) lets you into the stairway that leads to the apartments/rooms 3) lets you into... More

The location in Old Town could not be better and the apartments are comfortable, immaculately clean, and a great value. The hosts are incredibly thoughtful - their communication ahead of the stay was great, and their attention to detail was really appreciated.

This is a great little place in the reconstructed old town. I think there are only two units. The one in the back has an oriental theme. We stayed in the front unit that has traditional decor. It is one very large unit with lots of windows opening on the street. It was a little noisy but it didn't bother... More

Our initial apprehension after having to walk with luggage over cobbled streets was forgotten as soon as we reached our room . Large , clean rooms and a swanky bathroom , sofas , pantry , fridge -- everything was there . So was Martin -- always around to help , answer questions , give guidance on anything . Without him... Fantastic position in old town. Squeaky clean apartment with all the little home comforts. We requested a table and toaster and voilà...there they were! Thank you Martin for your hospitality and enthusiasm. Stairs may be an issue, but Martin singlehandedly carried our cases up for us! Coffee shop, pizza, burgers, all onsite. Delightful place to stay.

My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights in the lovely and very spacious "Retro Room", right under the roof. It has a nice bright modern bathroom en suite, with good shower, plenty of space and even a window! Some evenings it was a bit noisy from the restaurant on the groundfloor, but it all gets quiet past 11pm. And... More

My wife and I stayed in the Japanese Room at Duval for three nights in May 2015. We absolutely loved this place! Martin, our host was the best. He made us feel like we were in a B&B with personal service, excellent attitude and great breakfasts. Duval's location is excellent, very close to the barbican. The room was large, well... More
