This hotel/apartment was the best value for the money in the Lake Bohinj area (less than 50 euros/night for four nights). We had an apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and a sitting porch with views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The location was only 10 minutes from the town at the lower end of Lake Bohinj. Quiet. Friendly...

Location is bad. You must walk a kilometre to reach hotel. Furniture is old. Broken wash hand basin. The only good thing was the view. The view was amazing. One of the receptionist was nice but the other couldn't understand English!

If they don't get new mattresses, don't stay here. We had to leave after a sleepless night. Also: ensure you get a lake view. Otherwise you look out over pretty much nothing. This is hugely important. We didn't get breakfast or dinner - seemed like a ripoff. We got breakfast at the market 10min walk away and dinner in town...

Residence Triglav is a really good value option in a fantastic location. Like others say, the decor is a bit worn but it is clean and the people who man the front desk are very helpful and friendly. We went for a room with a view of the lake and it was a great place to sit and have breakfast...

Our room had a balcony that overlooked the lake in one direction and Mt. Triglav in the other. It was unbeatable scenery and a very restful place to stay. The room was slightly worn but clean; more like home than a hotel. Staff get 5 stars for helpfulness, from trail suggestions to dropping us off at the bus, and for...

Nothing fancy about this place, and by the end of the season, it was somewhat the worse for wear. TV not working, door falling off cupboard in kitchen, etc. Cleanliness ok, but seriously needs some TLC.

When we arrived, we had the choice between two rooms. We took a look and took the biggest room on the second floor. Really big: double bed, sofa that could also be a double bed, table, five chairs, enough little and big closets, little kitchen + fridge and bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Old furniture, but everything very clean....

This is not a luxury hotel and the comments that others have made about the furniture etc. are not unreasonable. However, in many respects, this is an excellent location to stay near Lake Bohinj. The accommodation is pleasant and just what you need for a holiday in such a place. The kitchen area, fridge etc are useful for making breakfast....
