My daughters and I have been traveling through eastern Europe and have stayed 4 nights at Aladin. On the train to Ljubljana, my daughter became sick. The hostel manager, Roman, was so kind and helped take my daughter to the hospital. She recovered and we have Roman and the wonderful people at Aladin Hostel to thank. Each day they checked...

The room, private with french bed was great and comfortable it was also very clean and guests in general looked happy there. I would come back any time. P.s. Although this hostel is located at some 20 minutes from the city center of ljubljana (or a cab ride for 4 euros), it is a great place to stay! The owners are extremely helpful and kind. I got the feeling they really knew each of their guests: you're not just a number. All the rooms are very clean and the...

The room was great, especially as we'd just gotten off a 12 hour train sitting on the floor. The position isn't optimal, however the staff are very friendly, the beds were comf and the cooking facilities were more than what I needed. I accidentally left my driving license at the hostel and the manager quickly agreed to send it all...

Just recently returned from a trip that comprised of a selection of hotels, hostels and apartments in a variety of places throughout Europe. Sadly, the Aladin was a low point and I say sadly because the owner really tried his best to look after us, but this didn't deflect from our overall disappointment with the place. The shower leaked, the...

This is not the best hostel you've been to, definitely not. But for the price it is ok, it is a bit farther from the centre but buses go regularly, and if you are used to walking, its no problem (15-20 minutes to the centre walking). You can also walk through a beautiful tivoli park which will make the way...

We really loved staying in hostel alladin. Getting there was not as easy as we expected, but we payed 5 euros for a taxi so we did'nt really care. Later we found out that the bus was a very easy way to get from and to the hostel. When we arrived late we got a warm and friendly welcome. And...

Rooms smelled like cigarette smoke, kitchen was tiny, hostel is more than 2km walk away from city centre, no way would you walk to or from the train station with bags, was in a residential area and you need to get taxis to and from the hostel any...

The recpetion guy was very nice. Room was spacious although the top bunk bed did seem close to falling down! Bedding was a little dirty and old and you have to get there by bus. Fine for a night stay or so. T.V in room which was cool. Beds were very old- not the most comfortable.

We really enjoyed staying at Aladin. Tim, one of the owners (family owned) was there to greet us. Even though he was running late for a meeting, he still took the time to welcome us and help get us settled. We later found out that he had even upgraded our room! There are two large grocery stores at either end...
