We were a party of 3 English couples who spent 3 nights here this week. We all loved the whole experience. Beautiful comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff, great food and perfect location. Would recommend wholeheartedly. Thank you from us all to the Gerloczy staff for a wonderful stay.

Small, elegant hotel with plenty of period features. Rooms have high ceilings and large windows and are very cosy. There's a small restaurant which is also used for serving breakfast. Within easy walking distance of the centre of Pest and the metro station to get over to Buda. No tea/coffee making facilities but you do get complimentary drinks and snacks...

The location of the hotel is perfect but the staff lets it down. The service is very unprofessional. The waiters of the hotel were sometimes rude. There is no consistency in the information given: you agree with one staff member in something and the next day someone says the opposite of it. The breakfast is ridiculously overpriced.

This elegantly renovated old hotel is in the central district of Pest, but on a small street that is awkward to get to by car, so it is quiet and one can sleep very well. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. An excellent restaurant in the building serves breakfast. The staff is very helpful. When we had to...

What a gem this place is. Easy to find, close to the metro. In a quieter street but close to the city centre. We enjoyed having the restaurant/cafe downstairs and used it several times. Lovely quaint rooms. Just a nice place to stay. Helpful staff, English speaking and has a lift. I'd love to come back.

Beautiful hotel at an affordable price. We enjoyed our stay here and found the rooms to be clean, spacious and modern. The staff were helpful and we loved being able to venture down to the cafe for breakfast. Very affordable, beautiful hotel that is literally in the middle of the city. Would recommend and will be back soon!!

The Gerloczy Rooms de Lux is a very centrally located, beautifully renovated hotel. It's next to the city's main square in a calm side alley, so it was very convenient and even quiet on new years eve. We spent four nights in one of their luxurious attic rooms and loved it! The receptionist was exceptionally friendly, the room was clean...

We booked 5 rooms in this fantastic hotel. 3 of them were deluxe, which have a bath, the other 2 were deluxe with court yard view which had showers, these were a bit bigger than the others. All of the rooms had so much character, and came complete with a free mini bar which included beer and sparkling wine. This...

The hotel is fantastic, with its unique atmosphere, stylish antique lion legs bath tube, romantic and vintage rooms. I love this boutique hotel. Every floor has a specialty. Spent there two days, would come back any time.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
