Why be so unhelpful and arrogant to your guests I do not know!
First of all, we called to book a room and the lady told me to look online and check the room we liked, check the prices and call again. I said sorry...More
We have stayed here before, (in 2012) and we would stay here yet again. I said then that I would not even bother looking for another place, and I didn't. And we were not disappointed. I requested the room with the rounded balcony. Very clean...More
Excellent location - looking out on a quiet leafy square but only 10 mins walk to the Danube. We had Deluxe Rooms 1 and 4 on the first floor. Lovely spacious rooms, both had showers not baths (as requested), efficient aircon, electric plugs next to...More
We stayed at the Café Gerlóczy and Rooms de Lux, in the heart of old Budapest, in mid-May, and it was one of the true high-points of our trip through Eastern Europe. The 1892 building itself is remarkable – situated next to a small pocket...More
The location couldn't be better. Centrally located but quiet, the small park out front seals the deal. The rooms have beautiful high ceilings and are quite comfortable. Cafe downstairs has good food and is a great place to sit and relax.

Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention
and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
