We stayed 4 nights in a very basic but COMFORTABLE room. Very quiet location and easy enough to get to by bus. Our host does not speak English very well but as always, in the end, communication is achieved. Great value if your on a budget. (Don't expect chocolate on the pillow case) Did our laundry for a few euro...

Close to transportation hub, but in a quiet street. Interior rooms refers to the 60 th years. The cozy, vintage. Windows encircles geraniums and other plants. There is a garden with a gazebo for leisurely drinking fine wines Magyar. Among the shortcomings. Wi fi was working badly. Poor breakfast: three sausage and coffee

A classic guesthouse layout, with a kitchen shared by the family and simple rooms. Lovely warm shower and good proximity to tram links. Only 5 mins from the metro as well. Really enjoyed the guesthouse. Would recommend if you don't mind living without too many luxuries.

The guest house was in a charming older home with antique furniture. It was very clean. It was relatively close to the city center, had easy access to public transit lines, and was close to a nice pub/restaurant (The nearby pub/restaurant Aranyhid was very good). The owner did not speak much English or German but was friendly and helpful. The...

Big room with a big bed and a private bathroom, in a nice area not too far from the river. Bed was comfortable, proprietor was lovely, it was a great place for us to stop for the night. We slept well, and the manager didn't mind us checking out early.

Situated out of town in a quiet area but easy to reach by bus (or 30 minutes on foot), the place is an oasis of peace. No thrills furniture and clean, along with a massive bathroom, this is a dream for budget travelers. Staff is nice and helpful. I stayed a week there and hope to visit the city again....

Staying in Gellert Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Gellert Hill
If you want to treat your camera to some amazing scenery, Gellért Hill is a must on your itinerary. A funicular journey from the Chain Bridge along the hillsides provides a fast connection between Buda and Pest, hoisting visitors to panoramic vistas. Once on top of the hill, you’ll find the Citadel dominate the landscape with its imposing 19th century construction, a site that’s hard to keep your eyes on without being distracted by the phenomenal view over the Danube and the eight bridges crossing. Once on Gellért Hill however, one mustn’t miss the famous Gellért Baths. Budapest is renown for its thermal waters and its baths, and the Gellért Baths are housed in an impressive art nouveau structure. Its interior design, with its many mosaics, recalls the preceding relationships the city has had with healing springs and saunas, traditionally used within this neighborhood since the Ottoman Empire.
