The accommodation was clean, and the friendly lady welcomed us on arrival. She was here at the appointed evening. The accommodation is in the city center, all within easy reach - monuments, spas, entertainment, restaurants, bars and cafes. I certainly recommend. The price-quality ratio is...More

We travelled around Europe for 3 weeks and Downtown Oasis was the best hostel we stayed in. It was such value for money, light and spacious with great views and easy to get to all tourist destinations.

Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention
and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.

The way from the airport with public transport is the following: take the bus 200E in front of the airport terminal and come to the last stop called Kobanya-Kispest. Here you can take the metro (M3 line) and come to the stop Deak Ferenc ter. When you come out from the metro look for the sign for Karoly korut (here is the tram line No.47/49 too) and walk down 2 minutes on the right side of Karoly korut. The No. 24. is between Spar supermarket and Erste bank.
