I stayed at the Maverick Hostel while on a trip to Budapest with my dad. There are at least two sections in this hostel (and I believe the Maverick owns two hostels in Budapest)- the youth section and the private rooms. My dad and I stayed in the private rooms (which offered a full bed for him, and I slept...

Really enjoyed my stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. This modern hostel has very good beds and the dorm rooms are of a high class. Plenty of places to eat and drink near all at low prices. Well done Maverick

Staff was helpful and friendly. We stayed there 5 days and i believe 5 days in one place can judge it correctly. Room was nice and quiet. Shower was a bit small but it is Europe same every country. Kitchen was sufficient and their events for every night was very nice. We met a lot of good people.

Absolutely loved Maverick Hostel! The building is gorgeous, the kitchen is well stocked/ free tea and coffee, nice areas to hang out. Beds were comfy, small dorm rooms are bunk free. Staff were really helpful, the pub crawl is good fun - and the location could not be better (in terms of proximity to train station and easy walk to...

I booked the Maverick in a rush when other plans fell through. It looked simple enough and the reviews are mostly positive so I took a chance. It's steps away from a metro station, a few blocks away from the river, Vaci utca, and the central market hall. It's reasonably priced and at the time of my stay, it was...

We stayed two nights at Maverick. Attila greeted us and was very helpful. The rest of the staff was as well. We had an early departure flight and they arranged for the taxi at 6am. Our room was clean, quiet and love the whole Big Lebowski theme - especially since I watched that movie on my flight over! Location was...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
