The rooms though small are well appointed, staff are very helpful , speak good English and are always willing to give advice. Breakfast is very busy but the food is first class We had 2 wonderful breaks in Budapest and the Zara went...

I have just returned from a lovely stay at the Hotel Continental Zara & I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the charming city of Budapest. I was in Budapest having some dental work done, so I wanted a hotel with a good location & good facilities, that way I could comfortably recover from my procedures if I...

A very good hotel with good service. Only two negative remarks: aircondition did not work properly and acess to training facility/pool cost extra for each visit - should be included for guests of the hotel. Other than that a very good hotel - close to metro and good eating. The food was good. Staff was helpful and had good spirit

Had a good stay at the Zara and would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Budapest. Nice room. Liked the idea of two blankets rather than one big one. You can open the room windows! Staff was helpful. Breakfast buffet was quite good. Some interesting little cafes/restaurants in the neighborhood. A 5-10 minute walk to two metro stations....

Rooms spotlessly clean, comfy beds. Good breakfast choice. Friendly staff. Good location walking distance to centre. Nice bar to relax in after hard days sightseeing. Had a room on 1st floor at rear of hotel so quiet - great nights sleep! Recommend this hotel!!

Just spent four nights at the continental and had an extremely pleasant stay. All the staff at the Hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. Answering some of the issues raised by others, I would say that at peak times breakfast can be busy but this only occurred when a large number of people arrived in the final hour. That said...

My partner and I chose Budapest as our next city break, and decided on booking the Continental Zara. I'll start with the highlights! The hotel is very modern and the architecture of the building is superb. The rooms were clean, inviting and the bed very comfortable. Our room only had a shower and no bath, which wasn't an issue for...

Dear Stevecb91, I may be proud to read your very first review on Tripadvisor, however the title shocked me immediately. Although you have spared some praising words on the building and on the location you have quickly got to the business. The staff is stealing! Stealing your cigarette! Well, this is one opinion, but far from the fact. Unfortunately the...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
