PROS: Accommodations are very comfortable--especially bed and pillows--and clean. Nice-size room, good AC, sufficient lighting. Odor-free non-smoking room. A variety of items in the breakfast buffet, including fresh-squeezed orange juice, cherries in season (!), plenty of coffee machines including decaf choices, even a few raw veggies, and some really excellent breads. CONS: The WiFi connection in our room was excruciatingly...

This hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable. Its a 4star plus and deserves it. I would not eat diner in this hotel because the service in the restaurant is poor and the prices too high versus many possibilities in the immediate surroundings. Otherwise, very good place to stay in Budapest.

Dear Dear Freddy471221, Thank you very much for your feedback after your recent stay. Also thank you so much for your praising words regarding the cleanliness. We returned from this trip 10 days ago and can only say we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this magnificent hotel. The staff were of a very high standard alongside the hotel amenities. However, I was left disappointed when I tried to contact the hotel about room charges since returning from our trip but have only been ignored which is highly...

The hotel is about 15-20 minutes walk from Keleti railway station or just around the corner from Blaza Lujza Ter metro station which is only one stop on the Metro from Keleti if you prefer. Very grand looking foyer and also some pretty good rooms as well in the hotel. There is a pool / sauna on the very top...

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in this hotel. It was in an ideal position for sightseeing, about 10 minutes from the main areas. The hotel was very clean and the staff helpful. Our room was the basic standard, but was roomy and had a nice bathroom. There were several excellent restaurants near by, including a very good...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
