We stayed for 5 nights at the Continental Hotel Zara Budapest and we had a wonderful experience. From the porter meeting you outside and opening the car door, to check in at reception and escort to our room with our luggage. The room was modern, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom and shower was very nice and we felt very...

We stayed at the Zara for a long weekend, the room is small but clean tidy and contemporary. The bathroom and shower were very good and clean, the room was quiet and air conditioned. The pool on the roof and sun loungers are great for a few hours of sun after a busy day.

We spent three nights at the Zara. The room was functional with lots of lights, something thankful as most hotel rooms tend to be dark. The bed was ok, with a pillow menu whose choice was promptly brought to the room. But, the bed sheets were brownish with stains of something like make-up. Not correct for such a hotel. I...

Dear Marga2009, Thank you for your feedback, both your positive and negative comments. I am very happy to read that you were satisfied with the pillow menu. I am very sorry that the sun awaked you early morning, next time we give you a corporate room were we have black out curtains. I do apologise for the „brownish” sheet, we...

This is a lovely hotel and I would definitely recommend it! The inside is beautiful and the rest of the hotel is a wonderful experience. We arrived to the hotel very late, and from the moment we walked in the service from the staff was exceptional. They explained everything to us thoroughly but quickly so we were able to straight...

Continental Hotel Zara proved a convenient base from which to explore beautiful Budapest and provided excellent breakfasts. Slept well in the comfy room, the restaurant is proper classy and worth at least one visit. Internet in room worked well, cleaning is high standard, staff's English skills are high when I remembered not to gabble at them in my regional accent....

Central location, beautifully restored historic building, immaculate, well equipped rooms and bathrooms, good food, friendly efficient staff and good value. Look no further for a great hotel in Budapest within walking distance of most of the attractions and with good public transport links. Special thanks for the concierge service which was great at booking restaurants, boat trips etc.

The hotel has a grand entrance and is in an area with trendy bars and shops, the room was fairly standard for a business hotel room, but the cleanliness could have been improved and the aircon was not easy to control and the room often felt stuffy.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
